I forgot to ask...have you asked to have a meeting with the owner or artistic director to voice your concerns?

R.I.P. Bobo, We miss you!
I don't wish to bad mouth the current dance school we are using. I am interested in what experiences other have had. I'm not sure if this is schools behavior is normal or not.

Not to sure about the dance schools but I went to some school for competition cheerleading for a meeting because my daughter wanted to go.....I had to leave part way through, I couldn't stomach it! Thank goodness she changed her mind about it and is sticking with the horse showing activities.

Ladies (and gents?)
Every responded post has been very helpful to me and I appreciate your time in discussing your experiences. My daughter does love dance class, she even practices independently at home - and yes she is young/preschool aged. Currently I feel that the dance education and experience she is receiving is normal and she enjoys the teachers and children she dances with. We will be leaving her where we have placed her. Thanks again.

Ours went up a couple of weeks ago. Now that they are older, they are getting more "grown up" costumes.

Define Grown up? Appropriate or not for the age?

I want my pre-schooler in a pink frilly dress that's soooo adorable I'll cry....then again I can want all I want, the dance school has made the dresses a deep dark secret....

Age appropriate. She is going on 9. She started at the ripe old age of two and has done the cutsie tutu's. In fact, she is the center of a picture hanging in our studio in her very first recital.

My daughters Tutu for classical should be arriving at the school soon. She is a soloist in this years performance. Silver in The Sleeping Beauty.
