Looks like her stock car debut will be December 18-20th when the ARCA Series tests at Daytona.

She's supposedly signed a 2-year contract with Jr Motorsports to run ARCA, Nationwide and Trucks.

Cool, I'll be rooting for her. It's good to see a fresh face in there. Hopefully she will pick it up.

 Hopefully this won't be another Erin Crocker nightmare.
:yeahthat: I had almost forgotten that name. Is she Mrs. Evernham yet?

Danica can't be any worse than the other open wheelers who've tried (trying) NASCAR and are FAILing miserably. :lmao:

Tony is a racing God who wised up many many years ago and JPM is the only one that's half way decent. He's FINALLY having a good year.

Agreed! Tony is not to be even remotley grouped with the likes of Sam Hornish Jr., Dario Franchitti (sp?), JPM, etc. etc.

Tony Stewart was the 1997 Indy Racing League champion before converting to stock cars a year later. Stewart in his rookie season won three races and finished fourth in the championship standings.

This is all about marketing and selling t-shirts, nothing more, nothing less. Danica has done absolutely nothing to prove that she deserves a job anywhere else besides the one she currently has.

By that I assume you mean stripping down to her bare nothings in the GoDaddy.com commercials?

Yes. She covers World of Outlaws for SPEED.

Erin Crocker's more talented than a lot of people give her credit for. I'm not sure she could ever compete in Sprint Cup, but she was a rockstar behind the wheel in the dirt open wheelers... and racing on dirt requires more talent than racing on asphalt.

If NASCAR's looking for a woman who will succeed, they need to look at Alli Owens, Johanna Long and Megan Retineour (and maybe Caitlin Shaw and Laura Hayes). In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Alli Owens won the ARCA race at Daytona next year. I'm kind of hoping she does, maybe it will give the series the spark it needs to grow.

I agree to a point. But, it's not impossible for her to have success in NASCAR.

That said, I don't think she has the natural talent Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo Montoya have. Tony and JPM are driving gods man (especially considering JPM drives for ####ty EGR).

And now McMurray has selected to drive as JPM's teammate next year.

Yeah, but Tony tore up a helluva a lot of stock cars when he was driving in the Busch Series before going to Cup. :killingme

Danica stirred the pot again, her announcement this morning was a dud.

New primary sponsor in IRL.
