I had no choice but to drink what was available. The first night I was there, I went to the Royal Standard, which is the, "Oldest Free House" in England. While there I had Pedigree Beer. That may be what I had the entire week I was there, but I do not remember. I kept asking them for the best local light beer they had at all the pubs. I'm certain I do not remember what they were. It was definitely alcoholic beer. They asked if I was refering to non-alcoholic every time when I asked for the light beer, and I made sure to tell them it had to include the alcohol.
