There may have been a traffic accident but the road was closed before that happened. My notice came out about 3:00am.

Love how the SHA made the executive decision to close a major intersection and thoroughfare right as Rush Hour is to begin on a Monday morning.

Prince Frederick Boulevard might have been the service road in the olden days, but there are grocery stores, doctor's offices (including the new pretty big Calvert Internal Medicine Group building) and businesses galore located off of that road nowadays. The access to those have been severely affected. The speed limit is much lower however so it was virtually at a standstill because of the overload of traffic from route 4. I'm sure many a person, will be late to work, doctors & patients late for appts and students late for school because of that SNAFU.

(not only that, but the internet is affected all over the area, including in the gym this am)

High five SHA!!

In messaging with Foxhound about Thing 1 and his "internet issues," this morning, he told me he heard a horrendous noise in the middle of the night. We are not far from Rt. 4

Rumor at the Dentist office is power lines were spotted over a car this am.

I texted Thing2 to see if PFVFD went to any calls in Route 4 and Dares Beach road area this morning. He said dis:

" Power line fell on a construction vehicle with a guy in it. So they had to wait for smeco to shut down the power so he could get out"

:yikes:

So, I take back what I said about the SHA.

There are still SMECO, Verizon and Comcast trucks where the truck took down the lines this morning. Crews working on the lines to get things restored

Businesses were without internet and phones all day. I am sure when I get home it will be the same and Thing1 will be chomping at the bit!

Well, I will be, too - I hope they get it back before the new season of 911 comes on!
