I got all excited thinking we may have some excitement around here with the weather today and now it is sunny. LOL.
I really thought I was going to get a taste of those Florida thunderstorms I still miss so much.

Oh well! I guess I'll just have to go outside and enjoy some warmer weather! Not a bad second choice.

I know the feeling, they never have thunderstorms like they do back home in Texas. I have some friends that talk about how bad they are here and I just explain that they are about 2 hours longer in Texas and a lot louder.

It is definitely interesting to get a different perspective on the weather up here- when Florida has a huge thunderstorm, they get a silent warning on the tv screen and you don't hear much about it. Up here, it is a major event with all kinds of news coverage.

Either way, I want my "severe" thunderstorm!

Yes, I laugh out load everytime I see "STORM FORCE" on Fox. You can tell when it's a slow news day.

Was on the Skyline Drive last June when one hit. Hail, thunder, lightning and heavy rain. Made for an interesting bike ride.

I am with you on that one. 1 inche of snow- STORM FORCE. Two inches of rain- STORM FORCE. That is why I got so excited this morning when the top news story was with Storm Force. Did ANYBODY get anything?

Give it time. It's the heat and humidity we are getting now that's going to stir up the thunderstorms later.

I'm a Florida native- we don't get heat and humidity up here. OK, relatively speaking, we don't get any up here. That is the one thing I DO NOT miss- the humidity made for bad hair days everyday.

We holed up at our exit on the SLD at a ranger station till the hail quit then rode down the mtn. VERY twisty road made more interesting by fog banks from the ice on the hot road. Come around a corner and all you see is white
:shrug: That's why I like motorcycle touring. In a car it wouldn't have been a memorable adventure, just a little inconvient.

I'm stuck inside without a recent weather forecast... anyone know if that's it for the rain? I'm trying to plain my evening accordingly. I would like to paint something and I can't paint it indoors... I need to leave it outside to paint and dry... am I safe planning this (or at least starting it) when I get home

I have but it says all the same stuff its said since this morning.. I was thinking with the sun out... something surely has changed in the forecast :shrug:

Man! The fog is rolling in off the Bay like crazy. Weird...it's coming though the trees..looks like somebody's operating a fog machine in my backyard. You can hear the foghorns on the ships.
