Gee I sure am sorry I decided not to take the path to riches and fame.
Wonder how I missed that crossroads?
Maybe it was when I left high school and got a job instead of having Senator Fullbright sponsor me for a Rhodes Scholarship.

You are right Bill has sure made a lot of compromises that led to riches.
He compromised our military secrets to China ,He compromised the White House by renting out the Lincoln Bedroom, You're right I am not willing to do that.

I certainly dont blame Chelsea for taking advantage of her parents influence. Thousands of others have done the same thing. Al Gore, Michael Douglas,,
Jesse Jackson Jr., Kate Hudson, Hank Williams Jr. , Patrick Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy as another poster said, just to name a few.
It is amazing that she is as normal as she is.

What's not fair about my wishing my daughter had her opportunities. I would bet 90% of the people in this forum wishes their kids had her opportunities.
Wish that they could give them these opportunities.

Maybe we all took the wrong crossroads,because God know's we all cant give our kids all we wish for them.

Look we all make decisions that we either are happy about or regret. As for children, the best we can hope for is for them to take what we can offer and whether they pass or fail, we are there to rejoice with them or be someone they can fall back to until they grit their teeth and go at it again. I have no doubt that you provided the best route for her and that is all you can do. You shoiuld be proud to be the person you are and I bet you are. You did the best you could do. Noone can ask anymore.
I have always thought how fortunate things would be if one morning the prize patrol was outside my door. I could pay off my mortgage, etc etc...live the life o Riley. What I would do with all that money.....
Reality check....Neither Ed McMahon nor the Prize Patrol will ever show up at my house, because as far as I am concerned, these things are rigged and not worth my time. What I have has been paid for like the rest of you, with hard work and patience. We can only do the best we can for our families and maybe that is enough.
