Daylight Savings Time that's causing the increased heart attacks

💉 Remember to set your clocks ahead today, it’s daylight savings time. Because we now live in bizarro-clown world, some “experts” are using the time change as yet another way to obscure the cause of the mystery pandemic. Winnipeg news interviewed an expert this week who suggested that setting clocks ahead “increases the risks for heart attack, stroke, and even cancer.”

Now they tell us! I’ve been complaining about Daylight Savings Time for years, whereas Michelle is a huge fan, and I really could’ve used some dynamite ammunition like this. Still, isn’t it weird how they’re just now figuring it out? How many could’ve been saved, had the scourge of Daylight Savings Time been recognized earlier?

Well, that’s science for you, always stumbling across things that was right there in front of its pallid face the entire time. Like when that apple fell on Newton’s head, and he shouted, “eureka, it’s gravity! Now let’s change the times around on everybody twice a year and see what happens.”

Since Winnipeg News’ expert basically is SCIENCE, we will surely see a lower incidence of “heart attack, stroke, and even cancer” in all the areas that DON’T follow Daylight Savings Time, right? Or is that not how science works anymore? I can’t keep track.

I like Daylight Savings time and wish we could keep it all year.
The change may upset some people so why change?
Daylight Savings Time should be the norm.

I know our herd of squirrels were having a heart attack this morning....their daily feeding being a whole hour late. I think I saw some of them marching around with little signs on sticks...

The monday back to work after the DST change has always had an increased number of heart attacks vs other mondays. I believe monday in general had the highest number of heart attacks of the week.

We had year round DST once, nobody liked it. Guess like socialism, we haven't done it correctly. People never learn from their mistakes. Stay on standard time, if I'm going to be up at 4:00 might as well have daylight to do things.

I don't remember that. What year?

Just getting used to waking up a bit earlier with the sun. Between the DST shift, overcast skies and sleeping in an extra hour, I didn't get the first cup of coffee until 10:30.

I think what nobody liked was the short days, its a little hard to change that though.

In the western most part of the eastern time zone in the summer it didn't get dark until about 10 PM when I was there in June as it is.

Congress enacted year-round DST for a trial period from January 1974 to April 1975 following the passage of the Emergency Daylight Saving Time Energy Conservation Act of 1973 during the 1973 Oil Embargo. It didn't make the full 15 months before Congress reinstated DST.

Sun wasn't dawning till after 8 and little Johnny was waiting for the bus in the dark.
Going to and home from work in the dark.

I'd like to eliminate DST altogether. I still work full time and would rather not commute in the dark in the Ante Meridiem.

I like DST better, those of us that work and do yard work could use the light after they get home to do something. Grilling in the dark doesn't work all that well either, artificial light just doesn't work as well.

I got to work in the winter its dark anyway, so I don't care if its dark later in the morning.

Then they should adjust the time zone boundaries in this case.

I'm sure there are other factors in the why the boarder line areas are in the zone they are in. Personally I think we should be in a time zone an hour earlier because in the summer here it gets light very early.
