I was referring to them crossing one field, through the road to the next field

What time do you generally get on? I'm thinking I'd get on around 5:50 am, get to work around 7:30, get back on around 3:40 be home by 5 ~ lord willing & the creek don't rise~ I see lots of Keller busses taking 381 (i sometimes take that route now to Annap), is that their standard run? To avoid the Waldorf/Brandywine congestion?hasnaa said:I take that daily commute into downtown DC...I take the Keller Commuter bus from Charlotte Hall (bus 905) and get off at 10th & Pennsylvania Ave (Front door of the FBI Bldg) My commute is usually 1 1/2 hours each way...10 trip tickets usually cost like $38.50 or $4.25 one way...If you get metrochek from your job u can use that to pay for your trip tickets..u can buy Ten trip tickets or Monthly passes..for more info go to www.mtamaryland.com
I catch it there, too, and get off in Suitland. Just enough time for a morning and evening nap.huntr1 said:I commute to Silver Spring from Charlotte Hall. I catch the Keller Bus from behind the Burger King, which takes me to Metro Center and then Metro out to Silver Spring. It's GREAT. Beats the hell out of driving.

I would take gallant green but then I cant stop at the little store to get my breakfast on some mornings.. also the back roads have been teaming with cops as my brother lives in Wilkerson Inheritance and both him and his wife have been caught by radar on horsehead. Now if traffic is really crappy in Brandywine I take that one short road and go across 301 into that housing development and get on 5 right there before SOMD hospital thats going in the morning.. Coming home I always cut through the neighborhood just so I dont have to deal with that damn traffic at 3 roads.
can you turn right onto 301, and make a left onto that road right there at the light at brandywine autoparts? i wondered where that road goes.FastCarsSpeed said:I run out of the house about 7:15-7:30 depending on the morning If I dont stop its 45 min to work in suitland. The Keller buses all take that little shortcut to avoid the traffic.happyappygirl said:can you turn right onto 301, and make a left onto that road right there at the light at brandywine autoparts? i wondered where that road goes.
dems4me said:Fastcarspeed and Huntr1 if you didn't already know this shortcut... I forgot to mention it yesterday... guaranteed NO traffic -- I take this route everyday -- it saves a mile or two AND about 20 min. commute time on the way home due to traffic at the double lights on route five at three roads liquor store. You can avoid all of that and save time and travel less miles if you were to...
When proceeding south on Route 5 - take a Left onto Earnshaw Drive... I believe its the first left after the hospital... down at the bottom of the hill and there will be a garden nursury on the right....
Once on Earnshaw.... go until you come to a stop sign and take a right
continuing on Earnshaw take your immediate Left (still on Earnshaw) keep going until you come to another stop sign and take a Right -- this will be Lusby's Lane.
Follow Lusby's lane up the big hill and windy side road for about a mile until you come to another stop sign. This is Dyson street. Take a Left at the stop sign onto Dyson
Follow that and take your first Right onto Missouri Avenue. Proceed to a stop sign - wait until coast is clear and go straight (crossing 301) (look to the left -- cars are flying at that stretch).
once crossing 301 you will immediately hit another stop sign -- this is route 5 -- look to your right hand side for cars -- when the coast is clear proceed going straight again until you come to another stop sign and you are now on 381 and have saved about 20-30 minutes of time by avoiding the light at Threeliquors and Dyson's store. It puts you on 381 across from the elementary school, railroad tracks and fire house.
