It's not, though, and as a recovering commaholic it's like being a former druggie sitting around in a crack den for me. I find myself going over my own posts and removing any unnecessary commas - and believe me, there are a ton.

This is not a bust on you; you may comma as you see fit, of course, because this is not English class. This problem belongs to me and is not your problem.

That's unlikely because it's not merely a bad habit, it's an addiction. Something I will have to be conscious of for the rest of my life and be careful not to slip.

I am addicted to commas. And exclamation points! But I have no intention of breaking myself of exclamation pointism because those are at least expressive and convey a feeling, plus I can only work on one addiction at a time.
