I found out that the mother of the kitten is a light orange tabby. She is not sure what dad looked like. What do you think, do you think he will be deaf or have hearing problems. Oh and I decided to name him Yobbo! It means redneck in Australian! :lmao:

Well that tells you the mother is not a white ...Daddy HAD to be white...if he is making a pointed (ie points and blue eyes) he has a MUCH better chance of being sound hearing..But with mother being a solid I am thinking not..I really think he may end up being a CEW not a BEW. If he is a house cat and you really like him I dont think the deafness would be an issue...good luck and keep in touch...I want to see a pic of him when you get him..he might be masking red or orange so look for those hairs between his ears. That color will be harder to see then the black or blue...and do you know the red/creams in the litter I am assuming were all MALES...is this true? If there is a female in the red or cream color daddy was a red or cream not a black or blue....then the females would be tortie or blue creams not solids..

Can cats get pregnant by more than one male like dogs? Reason I ask is I had a cat when I was young that was most certainly half/part pointed. He was cream in color with gray points on his ears, his mask was pointed as well but had a splotch of white on it (like he had icing on his lips) and I believe his tail was dark. 3 kittens in his litter to a calico mother. One kitten calico, one solid black and mine. 3 very different looking kittens.

Well, the lady is convinced that I don't know what I'm talking about when I told her the two whites were male. She thinks they are too young to tell. Those were little penis's and balls if I ever seen any! I have dealt with enough animals in my life to know what I am looking at. I haven't gotten to see the other babies. She said I can come over either later today or tomorrow and get pics of Yobbo. So I will be posting some soon. I will look for some of those hairs you mention. I have seen a few stray white hairs here and there on my Tuxedo's head and back. She is solid black for the most part but has the white on her chest and tips of her paws. So I know that there can be a rogue hair here and there. I will see if she will let me see all the babies. Also, I made sure to look, they are free of fleas so that is a plus! I don't think I have ever gotten a free kitten that didn't have fleas! Anyway, I'm rambling. I will post pics as soon as I get them! :huggy:

Actually good question..there CAN be more then one father but each pup/kitten will have its own father..just depends what sperm hit the egg..sorry I was thinking one father..I am not used to multiple babys daddys..

I knew the one sperm to each egg part. I just didn't know if cats did it as well. We had a guy that use to breed the ever living $hit out of an English Bulldog when I worked at the animal hospital. Poor thing's last litter was 10 puppies. She ruptured a sac and had to have an emergency c-section. The man that owned her insisted that she not be spayed even though her uterus was terribly infected from the bad sac. All the puppies died within hours and she was dead within a matter of days. The vet said that he was sure he bred her to multiple studs because EBs should never have that many pups from a single breeding.

I have never heard of that (not the over breeding but the father deal) anyway the female like humans drops the eggs the male has nothing to do with the number of eggs that are furtalized so I do not go with that theory..

I had a female with pymetria one time I spayed her on the spot...and a cat had a c sec this year and she is spayed now too..I dont mess with that stuff..

Oh and you can tell sex as soon as you open the sack...4 weeks on a short hair is SUPER easy...find out sex and colors of the others if possible..

I bought a mixed breed ram Southdown/Hampshire lamb once, and the breeder told me the lamb's twin brother was a purebred Hampshire. The breeder had both breeds on the farm. He said he must've had an escapee.

Dont tell, but as soon as she has them eating hard food she will let you take them. I had mine at like 5.5, maybe 6 week. I love it when they are so tiny but DAMN, mine are all grown already. And they love to play outside, eddie is so calm and loving, Larry doesnt want anyone to bother him, hes so stuck up. and he runs from everything even though hes not afraid of us oor the dog. Just acts that way.

If a female releases say 20 eggs and the first male's sperm only impregnates say 6 of those eggs. Then she breeds again and that male's sperm reaches another 6 eggs. Etc... It increases the chances of a larger litter.

You're the one that's adopting a kitty without a daddy.... We're just trying to figure out if we should take the sleezy mom cat onto Montel for a round of "You are/are not the father!" :lmao:
