If a female releases say 20 eggs and the first male's sperm only impregnates say 6 of those eggs. Then she breeds again and that male's sperm reaches another 6 eggs. Etc... It increases the chances of a larger litter.

but the first male put millions in there so if 12 were gunna get caught 12 were gunna get caught..I just dont buy it..and one male would rebreed the female to so whats the difference between male A breeding her 2-4 times and male A and B breeding her...

It wouldn't matter if there were 2 different sires or just multiple breedings with the same sire. You could get the same results that way. If she releases 12 eggs, there's still a chance that 1 breeding would fertilize all the eggs.

A chance yes but not a certainty. I'm going on human anatomy but how many times has a man released millions of sperm into a woman when she was ovulating and she not ended up pregnant. Just because there are both sperm and eggs present does not ensure a pregnancy. I do agree that breeding a female with the same male multiple times would render a very similar result if there was enough time between each breeding for the male to fully regenerate his sperm count.

Well of course there's never certainty. Women tend to only ovulate 1 egg. There's a much better chance of fertilization when dogs ovulate because they ovulate multiple eggs. The male wouldn't have to fully regenerate his sperm count either...they release so much sperm that even a smaller load would contain way more than enough. There's only a brief window of time for the eggs to be viable, so he can't really wait that long between breedings.
