I suppose like almost anything, it’s a matter of scale. Given that our economy is built on consumption, a large middle class is necessary to keep the engine going. Maybe a word better than “large” would be “robust” after some thought.

If you understand that federal income tax policy is a reflection of how the government wants to control the economy, it makes sense that governments want a large (in number) middle class which can be taxed to help achieve fiscal goals.

I don’t follow the GINI index. Will look at it more in-depth.

There is no real need for taxing the wages of the people. Taxation at the Federal level, when at the Federal level they can just print more money when they want, is used to control the people from advancing financially. One step forward and two steps back for the people, the motto of those that worship at the Synagogue of Satan.

That’s simply not true. Our currency has value because of governments ability to levy an income tax return which can only be satisfied in that currency.

One doesn’t have to like or support our form of a planned economy to understand this.

I mean, the 16th A is barely legal as it is, despite the fact that it’s in the Constitution.

Despite this, plenty of people advance financially.

Our currency has zero value. Nothing but pieces of paper with numbers printed on them backed by absolutely nothing, other than through the use of fear, and the use of force.

Aside from the fact that "income" is not legally defined, anywhere. Just look to the IRS. Whereas the Constitution says, "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived ...." On "incomes" not "wages". Whereas "income" has always been determined to be monies from rents, interest payments on loans, profits from the sales of goods, profits on the sale of stocks, profits incurred in the normal course of business, profits from investments, etc.. Whereas "wages", is, being compensation paid to an employee in exchange for their time and labor, which becomes their personal property.

Taxation of a person's wages is the direct theft of that person's production and labor. Also know as slave labor. Whereas the slave earns just enough to provide for their own needs, and the rest is stolen through the many levels and machinations of taxation, keeping them financially down and working forever.

"Despite this, plenty of people advance financially." Such a broad ad hoc statement. When the actual numbers bear the opposite with over 52% of Americans being paid less than $50,000 per year. And household wages under $50,000 being 54.98% of all households. On top of those wages being destroyed by the constant devaluing of the dollar through never ending inflation.

Your "plenty of people" are not part of the majority.

And it has already been adjudicated that the 16th Amendment conferred no new power of taxation.
