I'm sure your mom is in shock right now. As a mother I can only imagine her pain right now. Watching a sick or injured child and not being able to help is a horrible thing. Give your mom a hug, you'll feel better too.

Because when you're in distress and feeling totally hopeless and helpless, you search for answers any way that you can, from anyone who might have a sliver of information to share......
or looking for someone ANYONE to talk to, about anything.. grabbing for a piece of reality.

Give her time, but be close by in case she needs you or decides she wants to talk. I know it'll be hard, but she needs your strength right now. Try to muster some. Before you know it, you're friends will start showing up to help. Let them.

Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all.

But wait, there's more...
Sorry for your loss. :frown:

You may want to check here in the next day or two if PG County Fire/EMS responded. Sometimes the responding Fire/EMS units post pictures of accident scenes on their websites. It may not be pretty though, so the decision is yours to see it. :ohwell:

Hospice is good, very experienced at helping relatives through a tragic loss. Is there any clergy you could contact? Or consider contacting the hospital, they should have counselling available.

Sorry for your loss, unfortunately it doesn't get any easier with age.

I agree. Greentea, you really should be with friends or family right now and not trying to deal with this on your own.

If you want this thread deleted, please PM David and tell him Dee Jay said to contact him. If you don't know how to PM, just ask on here and someone will get you fixed up.

I'm sorry about your sister. :frown:

I believe the accident was on 301 in Upper Marlboro in the area of Fairhaven Ave, involved a car and a van, and the lady in the car was flown to a hospital. The Maryland State Police in Forestville would be the one's to contact about a report. News Channel 8 reported the accident yesterday evening.

Sorry for your loss

Saw the accident on the news, man in van was very lucky to be alive, he said he was thankful. The white car went air borne and landed in front of him. There was nothing he could do to avoid it, according to the news on 7.

Dude I went through something like this with my sisters boyfriend he was 17. I understand how you want information right now to understand. You will find friends will pour out to support you and your family. Be careful how much info you look for though because it can be very upsetting and only your family'and friend's love combined with time can help the hurt.

I'm very sorry to hear of all of this greentea. I'll be praying for you and your family. We are by no means professionals on here, but if you just need to vent or something or feel support or want advice on similiar occurences, Most of the folks on the forums are very supportive and can be of some help for whatever youneed. Hang in there. I'm sure this feels like a terrible nightmare and I'm very sorry you and your family are going through this. My highschool sweetheart's brother died in a car accident at 15 at the time. It was just completely devastating to the family. As Elaine says, friends will try to help, try to let them help if you can. :huggy:

:yeahthat: The family can request a meeting with the Barracks Commander and/or investigating officer once everything is finished to answer any unanswered questions.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. :huggy:
