DECLAWED Maine Coon Female Available - the current home says:

>> Lulabell is about 6 years old and I have owned her for the last two years.
>> I have just had family members move into my basement, which was the kitty's
>> space, and she is not liking the noise, nor the smaller children that came
>> with the move. She is declawed so she would have to be an indoor kitty. She
>> is a wonderful kitty and don't want to keep her closed up in my bedroom all
>> day to avoid the commotion. She is a great kitty but loved the peace and
>> quiet, so did I, that once was my home. If anyone is looking for a great
>> kitty, would love her to go to an older couple without the constant tugging
>> on her tail from the little ones, please contact me. Thanks!

email nekoj47@yahoo.com if you are interested in her.

PS - I asked how long the visitors would be there and was told 1 year. That's a long time for tail pulling if no one can stop them ....

I agree, if it came down to my cats or someone moving into my home with small children, sorry, those people would have to find another place if they can't respect my animals. I can only imagine if the kids aren't being taught respect for the animals, what the house is going to look like with these little heathens there.

If no one seems to be able to make the kids behave just imagine what kind of kids they will turn out be as time goes on. Will they be hitting their parents next?

Speaking of hitting, I saw a kid in Walmart slapping its Mother (assume) in the face and the woman quietly said "we don't do that" or something similar over and over. I was thinking OMG that kid needs be the put over her knee. But then again maybe it was a special needs kid? Who knows?

Would it be out of line to just suggest smacking the kids hands everytime they go after the cat??

There is constant tugging on the poor cat's tail. I would yank (HARD) on the children's hair or nape of their neck (if there is no hair) and tell them I will do it again if they ever pull on the cat's tail again. A smack on the hand does squat. JMO
