BREAKING: USAID Senior Officials put on Leave after Physically Trying to stop DOGE from accessing Agency Systems
Two USAID officials, John Voorhees and his deputy, were put on leave late Saturday night after refusing to allow DOGE members access to USAID systems. The DOGE members threatened to physically call the police after being refused entry. They were trying to access the security and personnel files.
Federal Officials are concerned that Trump is trying to fold USAID into the US State Department in an effort to cut Government corruption and bloat.
USAID employs approx. 10,000 people, excluding contractors, with 2/3 of them overseas. 60 USAID members were already put on leave last week after trying to circumvent President Trump’s executive order on stopping foreign aid.

I could be wrong, but it sounds more like Trump is trying to eliminate USAID altogether.

I've long held the position that Zelensky should go under enhanced interrogation until he coughs up the money.
USAID’s controlled demolition is rippling across the planet. One example included a ‘shocking’ and ‘unexpected’ development in the Proxy War. You will never guess what the green sweatshirt man said this time. Honor compels me to screen grab the original headline and the picture together. Eurasia Daily’s combination was simply too good, I’d like to shake the headline editor’s hand:
“When they say that Ukraine received 200 billion during the war to support the army and so on, this is not true,” Zelensky told a reporter from Strana. “I do not know where all this money is,” he pleaded earnestly. Don’t blame me.
You cannot make this stuff up. Was the timing of Zelensky’s sudden and unprovoked confession of a missing $100 billion a coincidence, or was it related to the rapid weekend collapse of USAID’s fortress of dirty tricks?
I note without comment that the money to Ukraine flowed, or would have flowed, through USAID.

Whoever wrote that needs to be fired.
It's NOT illegal for a fed to have a 2nd job. There are strict guidelines as to what kinds of jobs can be held, but to say having a second job is illegal is not only wrong, but just plain stupid.
For instance, in my career as a logistician, I could have held a job as a mechanic (my previous career) as long as it did not conflict with my federal job, and here's the key phrase: in any way.
That means it cannot interfere with my hours and days with the government, and it cannot even appear to be a conflict of interest. So for example, if I'm raising funds for a political candidate or party, that could be easily seen as having the appearance of a conflict of interest. Note that it doesn't need to be an actual conflict of interest; it only has to give the appearance of one.
