The first reaction was a universal “here we go again.” If you suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, you assumed he was once again colluding with Vladimir Putin to steal the election.

If you support Trump or are simply sane and fair-minded, you realized Democrats and insiders were once again trying to frame him as a traitor and delegitimize his presidency.

Then came the farce. Soon The Washington Post had its own scoop, a report that “Russia is trying to help Bernie Sanders’ campaign.”

Whoa, Nellie! Inquiring minds are confused. Whose side are the Russians on?

How can it be that Putin is trying to help both the Republican nominee and the likely Democratic nominee at the same time? Is he stupid? The better question is this: Do Deep Staters and their media handmaidens think Americans are stupid?

I thought it had been made very clear as early as 2016, that the Russians weren't on anyone's SIDE. Neither side was going to benefit THEM.

What helps them is a divided America, which is why they interfered on the part of both major candidates.

No surprise they'd do it again.

Look however, for the media to dismiss ANY intel reports as pure fantasy.

Do Deep Staters and their media handmaidens think Americans are stupid?

Yes. They think we're too stupid to see what they're up to. And, this is a good thing because, just like with the 2016 election, they are miscalculating the sentiments of voters.

With every fabricated scandal, the surface tension of their bubble gets thicker and thicker.

I read a novel once - I think it was called "The Vicar of Christ" - which chronicles the unlikely story of a man who goes from gunnery sergeant in wartime, to a Supreme Court justice - to pope.

And generally speaking, when the pope speaks "ex cathedra" - he speaks for the Church/God. Contrary to popular belief, the infallibility of the Pope ONLY refers to when making official pronouncements. The belief is rooted in the idea that while God allows people to stray from the truth, he will never allow his Church to do that. You don't have to AGREE with it, that's just what it is.

ANYWAY - once Pope, this new American pope finds he has a GREAT DEAL of pushback from the cardinals beneath him. While he refers to his power in the Papacy - they shoot back "WE ARE THE PAPACY". They are emphatic in their stance that they are the Papacy as a whole - not just in a MAN.

This is the nature of the deep state. They refuse to recognize the authority of those above them - they believe they share equal power with the President just as all 100 Senators do. To them it's not conspiracy - it's just the way it works.
