Speed kills

I wasn't speeding at all, or on the phone or playing with the radio, I'm scared to death of deer so I always drive really slow at night... there was a train of cars behind me and they said they saw them all run out in front of me. I'm not having a good day. I needed a blood test, the lab closed 2 min. before I got there. I went to Wendy's on 4 aftewards, the lady at the register, closed her register, quit and walked out right when it was my turn and they had no replacement until a manager got there about 15 min. later (got 50% off my food) she said she was going to fire the register girl that walked out and already quit and left, I'm going over the bridge admiring the Patuxent and how I LOVE being out on the water and all and then they all ran out and I slammed my breaks then let up really quick before impact. I'm glad my airbags didn't go off... Actually, I'm not having a good week...:ohwell: Eitheway, I just feel like crap about it all :frown: There's deer hair stuck all over my fender, my lights all on the right side are in about 100 peices as is the grill. Body of truck seems ok as is radiator and hood.

I don't like killing things and justa few weeks ago I ran over an animal :frown: It makes me feel like crap. I checked on the deer and she must have died instantly :frown: She was bleeding at the mouth. I apologized :bawl: It was just terrible :frown:

:huggy: Don't be sad, you know you wouldn't have hit it if there was anyway to avoid it. It will be ok. I'm glad your safe, and that is the most important thing. Again don't let it bother you to bad, there was nothing you could have done to change the outcome. :huggy:

Nobody does, you are not alone. :huggy:

The deer population does need to be culled. Hitting them with our cars is not the answer.

A gal I worked with last year had a niece who swerved to avoid a deer, and her niece was killed when she slammed into a tree instead.

Again, glad that you are okay. :flowers:

The bladder probably burst. Roadkill venison is not a good thing.

I'm ok, food that I was bringing home went everywhere in the truck. I had to get my shoes off the floor because I don't like driving in heels so they were on the seat. I saw the deer got stuck in my headlights but couldn't go left because there were more deer that was behind it and to teh right was a ditch or something. I had to hit it head on. I just feel really badly about it all.

Then that would be the Benedict Bridge.

Will I have to see a mess going to work tomorrow? :tap:

I was going west bound towards 381/hugsville, you'll probably see some serious skid marks, the deer went flying up and into the field to the right. :frown:
