Please do! :roflmao:

Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina, a kingmaker in Democratic Party politics, vigorously endorsed President Biden for re-election on Wednesday and warned members of his party against challenging the sitting president.

"I'm all-in for President Biden," Clyburn told CBS' Robert Costa in an interview. "I think he's demonstrated, in these two years … that he is deserving of re-election. And I do believe he will be re-elected irrespective of who the Republicans, they put up."

What I do not get is - the constant, repeated meme that Biden's handling of classified documents is TOTALLY different from Trump's.
That's actually true, but I'll get back to that.

It's mentioned in a way to somehow suggest that it's a small matter, whereas Trump's was a very serious matter.

And I don't get it - the entire argument - and I've seen this on sites like NYT and Politico - is that lawyers were quick to hand over whateever they found, while Trump fought them over the documents.

And that's it. Trump said "they're mine". Biden said "what documents?".

Trump's argument - and it may very well be completely supported by fact - is he is entitled to have them - he can declassifiy them whenever he wanted to, AS President, and claims he DID - but he has a legal right to have them. Moreover, no one even remotely suggests they weren't in a secure place. And Archives - they knew he had them.

Biden on the other hand, never had the right to take them. Archives had no idea. They were squirrelled away in such secure places as his garage and his think tank and his beach house. He had them for six years, and there's extremely good evidence to show, lots of others could access them AT WILL. Perhaps - that was the idea.

Oh, oh, oh - but he gave them up right away. No, not quite and here's the question only a few are asking and no one's answered - why were they looking? If cops go into your attic and find a GUN - why were they looking? Who told a bunch of lawyers to start looking for classified documents - and who decided the press needed to know about it?

This is not about "scandal". There's no reason Biden's own lawyers would dig stuff up on him. I don't have the slightest respect for lawyers, but you can always depend on them to defend the guy who's paying them. If they were "searching" for classified documents, you can bet they were sanitizing stuff before the Republican House had a chance to see anything. They are NOT biting the hand that feeds them.

Well that was my thought. Why would anyone any Government Agency responsible for classified documents let people who are paid by the offender to search for those Classified Documents. Obviously they do not know what documents the offender has so how can they take the word of the offenders attorneys that they have not sorted out documents that would be damaging to their client.

Can anyone tell me of an instance where someone who was suspected of violating the law by keeping Classified documents was allowed to have their Attorney's check for the evidence? I don't freaking think so.

Just more evidence of the ownership of the Justice Department being in the hands of the Democrats.

It's worse than that. NOBODY was looking for it, when it started. What was the reason for them to look in the first place? This wasn't private lawyers doing the government job. They did all that first - and sheepishly handed it to Archives.

I do think this is all sanitization - his lawyers could see the writing on the wall, knowing full well that the GOP *would* gain control of the House, and started looking for ANYTHING of ANY kind that could ruin Biden - and they found stuff that shouldn't be in his possession at all and I think they thought they could quietly hand it all back - LATE, so as to not throw shade on Biden and the Democrats, but - yeah.

But the reason it was his lawyers was, they weren't LOOKING for classified documents - just incriminating ones.

I honestly don't think a damned thing will come of it. The only thing I can think of that might benefit the GOP is, they'll probably back off Trump. There's just only so much hypocrisy that the press and political establishment can pull off and the public's opinion is, he effed up big time.

But I've no doubt it will get played up as, no big deal, minor stuff, happens all the time, don't worry about it. Joe will hem and haw and decide, you know what, maybe I'll let some other young'un take the wheel and say he's not running. He'll keep running the economy into the ground and claim victory, and everyone will tell us how people just don't know the good he's done.

Biggest difference of all is that Trump's documents were Trump's - HE was the President. The documents found in Biden's various hiding places weren't his - they were Barack Obama's because Biden wasn't President, he was VP and had no rights to those documents. So I would like to know why Joe Biden was stealing Obama's presidential documents and what he intended to do with them.

They found even more Friday which came from his time as a Senator. I guess he’s been doing this for a long time.

As things stand now, I believe Hillary did more to hurt the USA than Biden, and what happened to her??

Can you say "federal prison"?

No. No, you can't because this will all be covered up and memory-holed. This is our new normal: Democrats cheat our elections and betray our country, and get away with it.

This has really snowballed out of his control. I'm tolerant, family suicide would work for all concerned and the wealth goes back into the pot.

I still think the GOP's only chance at this point is --

You remember that scene in "The Sting" where Newman is playing poker with his mark, Shaw - and Shaw deliberately has four threes dealt to Newman, to induce him to bet high - all the while, dealing himself, I think, four nines.

Only for Newman to call and show he has four JACKS. Shaw is enraged, but he sure can't admit he was cheating TOO.

The GOP has to cheat better than the Dems. They have to embrace mail in voting, do the same stunts as the Dems, because on an even playing field, the Dems always lose. So they even it up. Have a few suckers like Project Veritas flood with ballots of dead people, of people who moved away, flood the elections with ballot dumps. Pull the same crap. The only way you'll ever get the Dems to end their sham is for it to be a losing game for them.

Agree. Funny you mentioned The Sting. What a great parallel. We just watched it a few days ago? And the theme song is one of my piano sheet music I kept from back in the day.
