The Philadelphia Inquirer calls on Donald Trump to drop out after debate performance

The Philadelphia Inquirer called on former President Trump to withdraw from the race after his debate with President Biden in an editorial published on Saturday.

They whine and pule about Trump's "lies" and completely overlook the fact that Biden can't open his mouth without lying. They faint in the streets at Trump's "personal attacks" while Joe Biden is a personal attack spewing machine.

They're ridiculous and not to be taken seriously.

There was also the post birth abortion. Abortion is stopping a pregnancy so semantically if the child is born alive it's not abortion at that time.

What's strange is, Joe was TRYING to explain the original trimester framework stemming from Roe v Wade, which in simplest terms was

1. Trimester 1 - pretty much anything goes
2. Trimester 2 - some restrictions but only as pertains the mother's health and
3. Trimester 3 - pretty much not allowed except to save the life and health of the mother

Weirdly enough - THAT framework would be acceptable by most on the right and utterly rejected by the left.
Later cases would blow that framework all to hell. I don't think Joe ever had any understanding about how it's done now.
There are still a handful of states where late term abortion has no restrictions - he seemed to be of the belief they don't exist.

We're having a group of friends over for brisket on Thursday and have already been warned by a mutual friend that one couple LOVED the debate and said how great Joe did, how great the economy is and that Trump lied throughout the whole debate and was a convicted felon BLAH BLAH BLAH etc etc etc.
Everyone else in attendance are Republicans and we all agree to not talk about politics especially after everyone has had a drink or three.
I like this couple a lot- they are both seemingly intelligent but I don't understand their point of view! I have to respect it though, I guess.

The issue there is that "health of the mother" leaves a gaping hole to drive through. "I'm depressed and suicidal Doc, if I'm forced to have this baby, I might engage in self harm or harm the baby". And any safeguards you try and put in are seen as Handmaids Tale level misogyny. Like the illegals coached by the NGOs to say they are seeking asylum.

Not always. I have some very staunch Democrat friends who really like(d) Biden, but we never talk about politics or related when we get together. We've known each other since kindergarten, know how each other votes, but never discuss.

My mom is (still ?) a Biden supporter, but after we watched the debate last week, I'm not so sure. She had no clue how bad off Biden is, and we haven't discussed it. I let it lay where it is. I did have The Five on yesterday afternoon and some of the other FOX programs and she was listening. When a clip showed Jill praising Joe of doing such a great job and answering all the questions, she did pipe up and say that she was a disgusting person for speaking to her husband as a toddler. There may be hope, but she will never vote for Trump.

Joe Biden used to be opposed to abortion - until it became (basically) required to be pro-abortion in the Democratic party. Now I don't think he knows what to think.
