You can BE pro-choice in the GOP. The Democratic Party really can't tolerate any opposition to abortion. You'll get primaried.

NOW - to be fair - there's a lot of folks in the Republican Party who would be GLAD to be rid of them and replace them with someone who follows the Republican general "platform", as it were. They keep them on board, because it's less likely a Republican will be able to be voted in BEHIND them (well, MAINE, anyway - not so sure about Alaska).
