Have to agree with this. I have friends who grew up with Democrat parents, biased, angry and not afraid to tell you so. Every one of their 5 kids is now a Democrat and cried when Trump was elected over Hilldawg. Republicans are evil. The only way we remain friends is to agree never ever to talk politics.

Kind of how I am when I'm with my relatives - except when I'm with the handful who are actually conservatives, in their presence.
The Dems among them don't waste a moment piling on and blathering talking points but ONLY AS LONG AS THEY HOLD THE ROOM and it's just you. When the odds are even, they tend to be quiet. Actually, they tend to pipe down when there's maybe four or more opposing them.

Normally, with normal people talking logic and reason - that would be true.

Try to re-frame the situation with people who are religious about their beliefs, and you've punched a big hole in them.
What would you get? Eye roll, exasperated sigh, shaking of the head and muttering "you just don't get it" or "stop watching FOX News".

They will NOT try to engage because - YOU'RE the heathen. It makes no difference that your argument is logical, sensible and back up by lots of objective evidence. Because you're a heathen, your words are already wrong.

The majority seem to be the latter, but you never really know until they go off. Liberalism is a mental disorder. They are force fed the BS from news programs and believe it to be gospel. I try to see every topic from both sides and judge for myself. With liberals, that doesn't happen. Their minds are locked on stupid and no amount of evidence to the contrary will make a bit of difference.
