Democrats recieve threats due to health care

Looks like the democrats are finding out finally that the public is pissed,,, really pissed.
Saw this on the news last night, additional security is being given to the dems that voted on the health bill.
This is the type of thing that needed to be done before the bill, not after.

and, without any proof of who is doing any of it, they have already put the finger on the Tea Party Patriots.

Making death threats is just stupid. Nothing like trying to get the secret service all up your ass. That said, what the hell did they expect?

I agree.

Never make a threat if you really plan to do something.
I personally think that while planning whatever retribution you are planning, you should speak strongly against any such actions.

I am strongly against seeing Hoyer run out of the state (in good health). Not only for him to lose his seat, but to be run out of the state, no longer welcome to return. Let him take what he can carry on his back and wish him well at the state line.

I heard some of the voice mails this a.m. on CNN. I swear I heard, "evil f###".
Yes the F word!
Didn't hear any that mentioned death tho'

Too bad they didn't see it coming. I did. (along with many others, I'm sure)

No, it's like Charles Lollar said, vote Hoyer out and make him live under the laws he's passed.

:yay:

I heard a number of commentators last night, who either are reporters or some kind of other journalist, all saying THEY get horrific, nasty emails every day. All kinds of threats in them, too.

I heard a lot of veiled threats, but nothing straight forward. I don't think it amounts to anything more than people expressing themselves.

They should stop lying, and people would stop making threats.

The only way to make Hoyer and the rest understand what it is that they did would be to strip them of all savings, put them in a modest home with a full mortgage, make them purchase a new car, their health care etc..
then limit them to the average income of the state for the rest of their lives to live on. That would include taking away any pentions that they might be entitled to for their years in Congress, and making them take a job that they dont know will be there for them from one month to the next while they try to juggle between dinner and gas for the car.

My heart is so sick from all of this.

Maryland, the heart of my heart, is turning into a den of idiots.

They don't even know what they backed, and when they find out, it will be too late.

My ancesters helped build Maryland, and today I'm so ashamed of it, that it makes me ill.

I have no insurance, I need heart surgery, and I can't possibly take the healthcare offered.

My belief system would be breached and that is who I am.

If they take my liberty, then they have already taken my life.

They will have to take it by force, and I won't fight them.

Sad huh?

What have we become?

They didn't get the reaction they wanted from the 'supposed' racist and hate comments from the crowd (that nobody has audio or video record of) on Sunday so they upped the ante by claiming hateful and racist comments via email and phone messages. Of course, there is no way to prove who left these msgs, they could be real or they could be planted. Rep. Cleever's(?) claims of the racist taunts and the arrest of the person that made them has the police shaking their heads cuz there wasn't any arrests made on Sunday. The hateful, vile democratic party will stop at nothing to push their agenda and their sheep lap it up without regard to any logic or validity.

I'm sorry to hear that. There are many christian charities and also many hospitals have charitable funds available for these type of procedures for people who can't afford them on their own. Have you looked in to any of this? Is there anything that anyone here on the board can do to assist you just try asking. There are good hearted people here and abroad.

Be for what? stenny being tarred and feathered and run out of the state?

certainly, I would seriously enjoy watching that.

I just suggest that in order to get the most enjoyment and for stenny to get the most education from it, He cannot be harmed in any way. He needs to live a long long life wondering if he will be able to pay his bills next week, or next month.
He, as well as the others need to live exactly in the manner that they have dictated others to live in. And for the majority that does not include a couple million in savings/retirement while getting 50 to a couple hundred thousand in retirement benefits.

Hell, Sean Hannity has a line JUST FOR PEOPLE to say how much they hate him! He plays clips from it all the time.

This is more than just whiney from the Democrats. There's no question that death threats and nasty emails are just a day at the office for most Republicans. When people were sending death threats to Jim Bunning during his filibuster, or to Bart Stupak during the health care debate, it barely registered on the news (yeah, I know, Stupak is a D, but he's also anti-abortion, which makes him a pariah in the media - until he votes for the health care bill).

Why do I say whiney? Because they have to be lying - they have to get crap like this all the time. All the time. If they don't, if they're used to love mail and pats on the back, someone isn't doing their job. I suspect they're just doing what seems obvious - trying to discredit those who disagree with them by trumping up stories of crazy emails and spitting and name-calling incidents, all while calling Tea Partiers "tea-baggers", undercounting their numbers and calling them a bunch of Nazis and brownshirts.

I won't "denounce" such incidents. Not until they call off their own dogs - AND practice what they preach.
