I think Dr Triana has moved to Florida. He sold his Practice a couple of years ago, and was coming there here & there for a while. Dr Hartley still practices there. Both Doctors are as good as the other, not that that matters now that Triana is gone. I couldn't get in there in a timely fashion when I had Skin Cancer, so I went to Dr Faris Hewitt in Prince Frederick. He is such a NICE, and good Doctor. I don't have his number with me, but he is located on the same Campus as Calvert Memorial Hospital, in the new building across from the Emergency Department. You won't be sorry by seeing him. It might be faster getting in, if you have a referral to him.Dr's Triana & Hartley (Harley)?
Is one better than the other? Are they the only two in the practice? Anyone I should avoid?

I went to Verghese once a few months ago. Her secretaries spoke openly and loudly about other patients and made fun of them after a patient apparently called in and said he/she had missed the appointment and asked if they could still come in later in the day.

Just called and made my appt. June 22 (not bad) with Dr. Triana
I had to take my son there twice. As a doctor, I can't really complain, but his bed side manner SUCKED both times I was there. I can see having an off day every once in a while, so I went back for a second chance. It was just as bad. My friend went there and said the same, he was an ok doctor but his personality was terrible. That's been a few years ago. Maybe he's learned that his paycheck is also based on his patients returning, so he's better now. It is very difficult when we don't have a whole lot of choices around here.
Good luck. Hope all is goes well for you. Report back and let me know if he's still a jerk or not. I don't usually give 3rd chances, but if I HAD to, I might if he's gotten better.
I've read quite a few threads, and he comes highly recommended. If he's a jerk, I'll just leave.
Like I said, it's been several years. He may have lost his attitude by now. I hope so. I think newer doctors sometimes have that attitude when they first open their own practice.
The threads I read were from a few years ago. We'll see.
the difference being several years compared to a few years ago. We saw him several years ago. My son was about 8-9 and he's now 23.
Sounds like your research is more current.
Thanks guys, but I'm not going to Verghese.

My wife says he's hot. He took care of her malignant melanoma 12 years ago.
He seemed to be straight to the point without needless coddling or embelishment. I prefer that, but I can see that some would consider it to be bad bedside manner. It could also be that kids don't respond as well to the straight forward attitude.
I have a spot on my face that wasn't there a year ago but with me being 45 this year I decided to call it an age spot... now you are making me think twice...Hot or not, just screen me. I'm good with straight to the point, not so good with coddling. I just want to know if I'm good to go, or if we need to treat something.
