Instead of pocketing his first NFL check, the Texans quarterback decided to help out a trio of NRG Stadium cafeteria employees who had lost a lot from the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey.
"For what y'all do for us everyday and never complain, I really appreciate y'all," Watson said. "So I wanted to give my first game check to y'all to help y'all out some type of way."
The three women all were overcome by emotion, hugging Watson and thanking him for his generosity.
As a child, his house was built as part of Habitat for Humanity from former Atlanta Falcons running back Warrick Dunn.
It seems Watson has still not forgotten the charitable efforts that helped him, his mother and three siblings out of a tough time.
