I don't care what her opinion is. I'm just trying to understand what makes it rude to have a cosmetic procedure done that others don't think you need.

Well, I can see the validity of gender selection in instances of hereditary diseases such as breast cancer, etc. If I carried that gene unequivocally, I might choose to have a boy.

**I think*** Its rude because there are people that have problems that need these kinds of procedures, **I think** its rude that people are having them done for personal reason when they have no medical problem.....I dont look down on these people I just see it a little different!!!

I think its great that science has come this far, and we can now do all of this, just does not seem right to me somehow!

( and for the red, I'm not chubby and i'm glad all the MPDs think i'm a tard)

Do you think it's rude to be thin and stand next to a fatty?

So, it's okay to have cosmetic surgery if you need it for a medical reason, life or death sort of thing, but not for the sole purpose of vanity?

Yep, Pretty much.

Its someone choice, I dont have to like it....What I think is what I think, and thats the end of it....Does not matter to me that i'm the only one in here that thinks that way!

So if someone has the money and desire for surgery, they shouldn't do it because someone else can't afford it? And "rude"?

I'm curious. Do you wear make up? Do you get your hair cut/colored? Do you have your nails done? Do you look in the mirror and wonder if your ass looks fat in those jeans?

Elaine, I can't afford my hair or plastic surgery this week. That means you can't have it done either.
