Hard drive? Doesn't matter as long as you've got an Ultra-ATA ribbon cable.

Get a SATA motherboard Intel Core2Duo. You can probably build a decent core duo system for $600.

I perfer AMD myself - I'm running an AMD system at home. Intel's dual-core line is cheaper though - for now.

A good system would want a 2.2 GHz dual core AMD or 1.8 GHz dual-core Intel, 2GB RAM (If you plan on running WinVista), PCI-Express video card with 512MB DDR onboard, HD PCI audio card.

Get a fridge, that would make a 'cool' case. :laughing:

I'm still deciding what I'm actually gonna get. I am going with AMD processor and DDR2 memory at least.
