The harness buses are for students with special needs only. I smell a lawsuit coming if they're handcuffing special needs kids.....and that leaves a lot of concern of the quality of the folks hired to drive our kids to school................

That's nice. lol. I did a double take the other day- could have sworn I saw the bus driver smoking a cigarette. Nobody was on the bus, but I really think he was smoking. LOL. Is that ok????

Why wouldn't it be ok if there's no kids on the bus? Other than maybe causing your employer problems when a crapload of people call to say, "I saw a cigarette on a bus!" :jameo:

Driving south on 235, just past the Thai restaurant, I noticed several police cars that had a school bus pulled. Two county officers had what looked to be a seven year old hand-cuffed and putting hime in the back seat... WTH? :shocking:

my kids bus driver has dropped my kids off infront of my house and she is yapping on her cell phone to lord knows who :blahblah:

and we wonder why the kids get outta control :jameo:

Bus drivers transport kids to and from school. Kids get get out of control because they don't have the proper home training. Its a shame school bus drivers have to sometimes intervene with home discipline issues.

I'm just curious. What would be the basis of the law suit?

Heard it on the scanner. Kid was unruly and in a harness but got out of the harness and got more unruly. What is a harness?

I just got the scoop on this; it was Forestal acting up and spouting nonsense on the way to his special ed class.

Sometimes, when I kid is kicked off a regular bus for misbehaving, don't they sometimes move them to the special ed buses, which have an aide on them to watch over the kids? My friends mom is a contractor, and owns a special ed bus, and I think they've done that to her bus before. Maybe could have been one of them? I really don't think they would cuff a special needs kid. She loves driving that bus over her regular one, she says the kids act much better.

Actually, a they just passed it (a year ago I believe) where they can't smoke on the bus, even if no kids, even if you OWN the bus. My friend is a bus driver and she use to smoke, she just happened to quit smoking right before it went into effect.

I guess because the smoke smell will still linger on the bus, and a child my have asthma (spelling)??

i hear where you are coming from, the fact that we are trusting these people to take our kids to and from school safely is all the reason they should not be on the cell phone while there are kids on the bus. :coffee:
