They're predictions for this season were WAY off too.
Actually, there predictions for the number of major hurricanes were right on target. The thing to take out of this hurricane season is that 3 out of 5 hurricanes this season were major hurricanes. It was quiet as far as tropical storm formation goes but they're still getting strong.
No really well organized storms made it into the Gulf this year and there was alot of upper-level shear in the Caribbean and Gulf so we got lucky. This season had nothing to do with temperatures.
