I'm having fun with my own photos in Ps.

I've had one and want something with better quality. I've gone thru a dozen $100 cameras. I see the pics in here and go nuts. I am finally ready to move up in the world.

I have a coolpix. It wasn't a $100 that's for sure. Not sure where your buying your's from. I paid $300 with my sons discount at BB! Good luck finding at nice camera for less then that!

No! That would be doing my ugly mug too much justice.


I haven't had the chance to take any pics other of my kids and I don't want to post them here. I'll play with it more this week.

Sony's DSC-W290

It's on sale right now, it received nice ratings on CNET.com. I picked one up as a Christmas gift in the Dark Blue, but they have other colors. Never was much for Sony digital cameras but it was hard to argue with CNET's review.

Yep. Typo. I'll look into a 2nd battery. Thanks for the suggestion!

I've had a Nikon D80 for almost 2 years. It has a Li-Ion battery and I've recharged it once since I've owned the camera.. maybe twice but i can't be 100% sure..

It also charges QUICK considering how long it lasts.. You'll be happy with it..

I even got a Makita Hammer Drill with Li-Ion battery, battery will last over 2 hours, and recharge in less than 10 - 15 minutes..

Li Ion is the way to go.

Just got the Nikon Coolpix S70 for my daughter for her birthday.
12 mp and a touch screen viewer.
seems to take better pictures than my A-300 based on a few shots she took around the house last night, and the ISO can be pushed to 6400 vs the 3200 on the sony. Makes for some really good night shots with that ability.

Camera was 299.00, 8 gig memory card was 15.00 and we put the 2 year replacement warrenty on it for the 74.00.

takes the pictures and video, and you can add sound to the pictures. So if you take a picture of something, you can say what the picture is at the time you take it then it will play your voice recording back when the pictures are viewed.

I think I actually like it better than the Sony A-300 except for the fact that the sony can switch lenses.

If she ever lets me play with it Ill do some comparison photos between the cameras here and show the difference.

I bought the camera below to replace my other Fujifilm (which, by the way, is still running 5 years later and after carrying it daily in Iraq for 6 months).... Nonetheless, I REALLY trust Fujifilm... and here is the camera:
