The way police and child protection workers figure it

These people should be shot.

The other day at the store I saw a Snickers bar that was jazzed up with Caffeine, Vitamin B, and was claimed on the package to put you in orbit.

You have to be careful what you order these days and be watchful of what you allow the kids to have. Also some police officers are pricks, with no common sense.

Its been a long time since I went to a ball game at the old Memorial Stadium, and the only alcoholic beverage they had then was beer. Hot National Boh, that I am sure was filtered and bottled straight from the stadium urinals.

Some of my parents favorite memories of me include me dancing around Grandma's picknick table with a sippy cup full of beer. Oh those were the day's. BRB. Gotta refill me cup.

Unfortunately there seem to be more and more -85s being recruited into the ranks of law enforcement.

... And beurocracies like CPS don't have such stringent requirements as the police.

If he ordered "lemonade" and that's what he got, the ballpark should be the ones getting harrassed by law enforcement.

I would think that a place that serves alcoholic beverages and has kids would dictate common sense and just get a lemonade for someone who asks for a lemonade.

That said, a 7 year-old isn't going to get drunk face first :otter: from a MHL. Sounds like a simple misunderstanding to me, and it sounds like law enforcement out there has their heads up their asses.

Agreed.

BUT. If this guy was dumb enough to serve his kid a bottle w/o reading it first then he deserves some punishment just for sheer stupidity. I don't care what degrees you have if you have no common sense

That being said. Nobody was really hurt here. Guy doesn't deserve any major punishment, just give him some community service and be done with it. Hell, clear this from his record for doing CC...but punish him in some way for lacking common sense...I wish we could do that to more people

I looked at a bottle of one today and it is printed smaller than everything else on the bottle. Hard to tell it was NOT a lemonade, and I knew what I was looking for.

:yeahthat: Agreed.

It's under the ingredients and all that stuff, and it's printed at the bottom in small fine print.

I still blame the ballpark. If they were serving alcoholic lemonade, they should've stated that and asked, since they already had assumed he was old enough to buy it. They assumed, instead, that that's what he wanted. I didn't even think they'd sell that at a ballpark.

But, that said, I don't know exactly what happened here.

Either way, a 7 year-old kid isn't going to get drunk off a Mike's Hard Lemonade. He probably wouldn't even catch a buzz. This is CPS making Mount Everest out of an anthill.

Its just my opinion on it. I mean, what exactly did this guy think that "hard" meant?

I also have a vandetta against Mike's HL...I'd never thrown up from alcohol before...ever...and then some sissy drink (ok, like 8 of them...but still) made me do it because somehow it didn't agree with me :roflmao: I don't know. It must be that those things are too sugary or something because I had like, one Bacardi and one Smirnoff one night and even that irritated my stomach for a bit...two nights before I had been throwing down shots and making high-alcohol content mixes and no discomfort at all

oh well...what are you going to do. :ohwell:

Of course I can count on one hand the # of alcoholic beverages I have had since my first pregnancy in September 04.
