check your laws again :yay:
Which law? You AREN'T old enough to drink. OK, so, maybe your parents can't be held responsible anymore, but given that you say this stuff got you puking over what you seem to imply is a long aquaintance with drinking....
I'd never thrown up from alcohol before...ever
...are you gonna tell me now that your "never...ever" only includes a few sips of wine at the holidays with the family and the occasional bout in the vast time period of not quite a year since you became legally responsible for your own actions?

See Md. Code Ann., Crim. Law § 10-117(c)(1) beginning October 1, 2002, and Md. Ann. Code 1957 art. 27, § 401A(c)(1) prior to October 1, 2002.

Hosting Underage Drinking Parties: Criminal Liability
Social host law is not specifically limited to underage drinking parties

Action by underage guest that triggers violation: possession consumption

Property type(s) covered by liability law: residence, outdoor, other

Standard for hosts' knowledge or action regarding the party: KNOWLEDGE - host must have actual knowledge of the occurrence

Exception(s): family, other (may include religious, medical, educational, or other exceptions)

Summary
Underage people can "possess" as much alcohol as their parents will allow. They can consume when furnished by their parents, or other exceptions to the law and in their OWN household. There is also no EXPLICIT consumption law. If you drink, cops show up, as long as there is nothing in your hand (alcohol) and you aren't obviously wasted or something, cops can't give you a citation

I really should have become a lawyer...

So Johnny, your parents gave consent for you to drink until you puke? I really have a hard time believing that.

I believe you said that I could not legally drink. I just gave you proof that, yes, I can legally drink at my age.

I see no provisions in that law that state the amount of inebriation that can be obatined with parental consent, just that the consent is required

I also never stated that they gave me consent to drink until puking...but they also know that I can handle myself when drinking and that if for some reason I puke, there were extenuiating circumstances :yay:

...conclusion arrived at because you keep backpedaling around the question.

None of which is intended to give the impression that I wasn't trying to drink everybody else under the table before I was 21. And no, my parents did not attend any of the parties I went to in college. :otter:
