People are getting a hold of damaged EVs with good battery pacs and using them as storage.

Just wait til these new GM trucks start getting wrecked. at 205kwH, you can run the house for quite a while. And since they weigh well over 8,000lbs, I think they will get wrecked on the regular. Of course, the battery weighs almost 2,000lbs by itself, so getting it where you need it will be a bit of a chore.
