"We do want to talk to them. But at this point there's no reason to believe they pose any criminal or terrorist threat," said Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Julie Myers, who heads Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

For craps sake, the above PC statement is such BS. Just put ot an APB that says what they really are SUSPECTED TERRORISTS.

• Eslam Ibrahim Mohamed El Dessouki, 21

• Alaa Abd El Fattah Ali El Bahnasawi, 20

• MohamedRagab Mohamed Abd Alla, 22

• Ahmed Refaat Saad El Moghazi El Laket, 19

• Ahmed Mohamed Mohamed Abou El Ela, 21

I went all through school with a girl whose name is Damika Maria Artia Keyana Black and I know there were others with names just as long if not longer.

When (and where) I was growing up, if you had a name like that, you'd better learn to run REAL FAST.

And in this country, we kinda go by the anglo-saxon conventions; forms for stuff have places for three names only - last, first, and middle.

But yeah- profiling or not, we're at WAR and should suspend political correctness in favor of tactical correctness, and incarcerate these "suspects" before they get the right opportunity at the wrong time and really hurt somebody.

So since your basing it on just names, why don't you pick up my friend Abu Hassan. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

It all comes down to ethnicity unfortanently. I have a few muslim friends that are very nice.

Espically with today's terror threat, things should be taken very seriously.

The facts are simple, they violated their VISA restrictions. There is a war in the mideast and a code red terror alert at home. It's precautionairy.

I'm not sure what the numbers are but the number of muslims that hate Americans is very high. I'll look it up.

There was an incident on "SCARBOROUGH COUNTRY" they talked about where a bunch of muslims were walking atround on a flight just wandering around and nothing was done. Political correctness has gone out of control. We need to set that aside and deal with the facts.

How true this is. I say we all need to keep an eye on everyone who looks middle eastern, at least while all this crap is going on.

:jameo: I'm offended that you're offended! :jameo: :jameo: :jameo: Really, let's find something better to gets our panties in a wad about. My boss is of middle eastern decent and MY Goodness is a "Mohamed" and some other crap that he knows most people would fudge up so he dumbed it down to a more common americanized name. He makes light of all this stuff and understands why the stigma is there and doesn't take offense to jokes and often makes them himself. Why are you taking offense?

Bustem, you are UFB. :duh: I've concluded you have no friggin sense whatsoever. Your type of thinking contributes to their agenda. It's not blonde hair, blue eyed boys named Tommy Smith blowing crap up. UFB!!!

Sooner we start profiling, sooner this crap goes away.

Profiling is prudent to a point but there are also Asian factions of Al-Qaeda as well as homegrown boys from right here bent on helping destroy us and then there are other terrorists of various ethnic compositions as well. You put all effort into looking only at one group and then another will reach around and bite you in the ass. Also many of those of the same ethnic background as these current terrorists are very good and caring people that share the disdain that we hold for criminals like this. We certainly do not need to wrongly treat them. Many are friends of mine and I would readily step up to defend them as they work to achieve the same dream we all strive for.

As to your Tommy Smith comment, he might not be blowing anything up, but right off the top of my head the names Timmy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph come to mind and they sure did blow stuff up, vigilance is the key and focusing on one specific group will develop tunnel vision and will lead to missing something else.

I'm just thankful that the joint efforts of our intelligence operations and those of Britain disrupted a major effort on the part of these vermin to make a major strike against innocent persons flying across the Atlantic.

The foe we face is like no other we have encountered since the day of the kamikaze pilot where they are more then willing to sacrifice themselves to bring upon damage and death to others. But unlike the kamikaze these villains hide amongst the public and cowardly strike in a manner that attack the innocent, not the war-fighters, and when we strike back at them taking out a few innocents collaterally everyone and their brother cries about the cruelty we inflict while they continue to harbor these murdering criminals.

The UN that was created for exactly things of this nature is impotent, corrupt and ineffectual in all matters except condemnation. Maybe if they would act upon what they declare and hold those nations accountable for allowing these vermin to spawn out of control the world could begin to see an end to these criminal acts of violence. Short of that we are left to act with those of like mind and take matters into our own hands like we have attempted to do. But unfortunately we too have many that don't have the stomach to do the job that needs doing and until such time as we can stand together united in this effort we will be subject to an ever increasingly dangerous world.
