Do these look like the names of terrorists to you?

I went all through school with a girl whose name is Damika Maria Artia Keyana Black and I know there were others with names just as long if not longer.

Did you go to school with Shanice Aliyah Jazmine Alexus Corolla Jackson too?

Bustem, you are UFB. :duh: I've concluded you have no friggin sense whatsoever. Your type of thinking contributes to their agenda. It's not blonde hair, blue eyed boys named Tommy Smith blowing crap up. UFB!!!

Sooner we start profiling, sooner this crap goes away.
Yeah UFB. Stop being a close minded tool and open your eyes for a bit. In all of the security training I've ever been to, not once did they ever say to look out for people because of a specific name. Why, because it closes you mind to other possible suspects. You create a tunnel vision looking for one specific threat. You don't think there are people who are not of Arabic decent who might side with them? Profiling only creates gaps in the defence that they can exploit. It's idiocy that looks at a bunch of names and goes running with the torches and pitchforks to hold a trial.

Actually the names do sound familiar. Are they the names of the people buying all the gas station-liquor stores in St Mary's County?

But on the same line of thought, you can't ignore them because they are of middle eastern decent just because your afraid of being tagged as a racist or of profiling. Yes, we need to look at everyone, but I think we need to look at some more than others. Right now we are at 'war' with radical islam, I can't tell a radical islamic person from a peaceful islamic person, so I will wrap them in the same blanket and sort them out later.

Tunnel vision toward profiling may indeed be a bad thing , but avoiding them because of a fear of being accused of profiling is just as bad.

Certainly there are a few white converts to Islam, ( I mention that because one of the London plane Bombers was described as being white.)

NOT Politically Correct!!
At least they aren't interning all the muslims like the Japanese after the Pearl Harbor attack.

Right!! I'm soooo closed minded. :duh: I never said focus on one group. What I said are pure facts!! You plan on making the military your career?? With your thinking you better, because we'll be fighting these terrorists for a longgggggg time. Hope you like Desert Pink Bucko since it's such idiocy to persue the ones attacking us. Lets keep pulling lil ole blue haired ladies from the lines & strip searching them. :smack:

And Ken, I too have middle eastern friends. Many in fact. They have no issues with profiling at all.

Tell ya a story. In my naivety, I asked my good friend from India if he was muslim. His reaction was priceless and I felt like the goober I was at the time. I was then taught about Ganesh.

Timmy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph??? Only two names?? Out of how many millions of Americans? How many Mohammeds and Ahmeds are on terrorist lists or want to be on them?

I said profiling was prudent however we shouldn’t put all our eggs in one basket. If we start doing that then we will be hit in an area we haven’t been watching. A thorough security presence is required looking at all potential areas of threat and not just the currently popular ones.

This “tunnel vision” mentality was painfully obvious in the “poor” response that NORAD had with intercepting the hijacked aircraft on 9/11. It was only thought to be necessary to look from the coastline outward and not within. Now we know differently, don’t we?

You were the one that said good ol’ American boys weren’t doing any bombings, right? Well that is just two out of many more that have done similar things. While there are differing reasons for the zealotry it does exist, care to look at southern church fire bombings?

We agree Ken. :yay: But I will stick to my convictions that we should be looking mostly at mid-eastern individuals right now with a minor focus on all others. Look at the 11 Egyptians we just rounded up. Sure the news is reporting they aren't terror suspects but look how they popped over here & dispersed. :eyebrow:

You're not gonna make a case to profile Stanley & Rod now are ya?? :lmao:

Please, get over it. I'm on the no fly list and I'm a white male. I don't have a problem with it. As far as fighting you can round up who ever you want. No matter what security procedures you put in place, we will still be fighting a long time. Like the "War on Drugs", the War on Terror is never ending. Looking at names solely is retarded, I could change my name to Bin Laden, it doesn't make me any more of a terror threat, and they can just as easily change thiers to some home grown american names. I never said not to focus on middle easterns, I said it's foolish to pick names out of a phone book and call that security.

And as far as offending people, I have no problem with that. You want security, close the borders, no more legal immigration, bring home the National Gaurd and uses them to augment local police forces, issue federal ID cards to citizens, if you don't have an ID you get a choice, Canada or Mexico and a free ride in a green duece and a half to the border.

Rod is okay, he has been checked thoroughly, but Stanley, on the other hand, we can't confirm that he is an actual citizen or one of them illegals.

Oh, that would be really swell! So much for freedom in the good ol U.S.A. "Show us your papers or you will be exiled!" Huh uh, no way! A national ID is a BAD idea and unconstitutional. Show me were those powers are enumerated to the feds in the Constitution.

I do agree with you on closing the borders tighter than a new fishes buttcheeks on his first night in prison.

A national ID is not prohibited by the constitution either so it's not unconstitutional yet. Lot's of people have federal ID cards, what would be so bad about everyone having them?

When it comes to politics, I'm closer to a facist than anything else. People don't seem to understand that in order to have security, you have to give up some rights, some freedoms. If they're not willing to sacrifice that, then don't come whining to me when the Sears Tower comes down.
