You should visit the Wharf in Leonardtown, it's a landmark. :yay:

I'm scared to ask for directions

I did go down the street by the courthouse towards the water a few months back. They were doing construction at the time and it was closed off. I was impressed by the view because I didn't know there was a waterside in Leonardtown. I hope when construction is complete they do that area right. that street reminds me of the street leading to the Washington Harbor.

Wharf

As far as the Leonardtown wharf, maybe will get a Commisioner soon who will bring back the Heritage, but don't count on it. The townhouses are growing on Penny's grave, the convention center, Winery, Golf courses and all are coming $$$$$ and that fills the pockets of the constructors BL--er's, etc.etc., and that fills the pockets of the Commish and Courtrooms......the machine in full circle. However if you like a taste of real history the Annapollis Wharf, has fresh fish, oyster bars(stand there shuck and eat) all kinds of tasty samples, and is circled by some first rate eatery's. And check out the rebuilt Drift Inn on the water(Mechanicsville), a little fun to find, but great food, and you can come as yourself and relax, I was impressed with the prices as well, two people can eat for the price of one at Stoney's. On the other end of the county(the ridge) try Schibels....

I need to Google Drift Inn I have seen the signs. I have gone down to Ridge a few times and it's closer I will try them both. Thanks! :flowers:

Your welcome Lexi, but God forgive me I forgot to mention Capt. Leonards, for the best cream of crab soup, crab balls(yeah that's right, don't go there)there served like minature crab cakes, kinda like hush puppies. There always packed on the weekends so if this happens, simply cross the street and follow the signs to Drift Inn, it's not a class act, but reasonbly priced, and you won't leave hungry.
