your kid learns cursive?

Unsure....

I stopped writing in cursive about the time I graduated high school.

During my first stint through college, I printed everything, mostly in all-caps. (like a good cartoonist should).

For the past... I dunno 8-10 months, I've been writing everything in cursive... and it was hard to get back into the swing of doing that after however many hundreds of years.

I know they can get through life without it - I did - but it's good to know, I suppose.

Definately to read it, if not necessarily to write it.

They should be able to read and write in cursive.

One thing I'm suprised about so far with my son's class this year is they are not learning cursive. Hopefully by the end of the year he will be using it.

i'd want my kids to learn it. better to learn it and not use it that to not learn it at all IMO.

Only time i use cursive anymore is when i sign my name though, just seems like too much work to write any long letter or something in cursive (and thats why we have computers that can change font...duh...:lmao:)

It seems like wasted time, unless a child needs it to learn to read cursive. Mine can read it just fine, I don't think he needs to learn it.

I've thought about gluing orthotic opposible thumbs on Lily - once a month - so that she can do my bills and balance my checkbook. She tends to be smarter than me these days. (so, that's a yes on cursive)

Yes, if I had to learn it then so does he. And on a somewhat related note, am I the only person that hates Denelian? I just want to punch whoever came up with that crap. :ohwell:
