Dodge's New/Old Muscle Car

I have a Charger and love it. Never thought I would buy a Dodge. I agree they should have made a 2 door version. Now Pontiac screwed the pooch with their remake of the GTO. That body style is an insult to the GTO. I look forward to see how the Challenger makes out.

The GTO is a joke. Nothing more than a little import. :buddies:

I am glad that the Challenger at least resembles the classic that it was named for. A muscle car should look like a muscle car and the 4 doors on the Charger definently did not do it for me. All it had was the name....don't get me wrong I think the Charger is a nice looking car but it should of had a different name because it in no way was a remake for the classic.

Trust me, what it lacks in looks for the old muscle car, it more than makes up for it under the hood! It runs like a scalded dog when you hit that peddle! Talked to an actual cop, and he said that Maryland police were jealous tht DC got the charger and they didn't because they are the fastest police cars on the road with the stock 5.7 Hemi in it! That's the engine I have and I am here to tell you this baby will light your azz up if they use it for a cop car! I hope Maryland gets their own, seems they need it with all the speed demons out here! :lmao:

Should of said...looks like a import.

They actually are imports. The GTO was built by GM in Australia. I agree that they could have done so much more with it. Had a powerhouse engine and sounded great but other than that it was pretty plain vanilla. I kept hoping Chevy would get ahold of it and bring out a new Chevelle SS but no luck.

Bet you the GTO would outrun that Studebaker. Long live small-block Chevys. The Hemi needs to be on the dragstrip, where it is king.
