No, I would not kill someone for threatening my life - I would immediately call 911 and report it; seek a protection/restraining order against that person; distance myself from them; and if I thought the threat was serious carry a firearm for protection in the event that they attempted to follow through on their threat.

It's already been pointed out that the police and courts would have done nothing without evidence of a violent act.. but you, you would LET your children threaten your life with NO retribution..
