Does my Kid Believe in Santa?

bcp

In My Opinion
couple years ago when my daughter was about 8 she was starting to wonder about the whole santa thing too.
on Christmas Eve, she still had not givin one of her friends the christmas present she got for her and was kinda upset about it.

I suggested that she just leave it with the milk and cookies and and a note asking Santa to drop it off for her so that her friend would have it in the morning.
so, she did.

about 1am, I take the present and drive on down to her friends house about 5 miles down the road where her friends mother was standing on the porch waiting for me.

the next morning we all wake up, and by some miracle her friends present was gone, and in its place was a present from her friend to her.

about an hour later her friend calls her on the phone, I just wish that conversation could have been recorded for use in a few more years.

not sure about now, but I can tell you that at the age of 8 there was no question in her mind about santa.

Now I think she plays the game just to get the better presents.

My kids are now 9 and 13 and still believe in Santa Claus. Every year I make it interesting for thier minds to believe. Sometimes for even myself. I told my oldest things will be said but keep ur thoughts to yourself and let them talk but remember what u believe in his important. So far it is working. I still remember 2 yrs ago i had a father edit a cd of his voice and talk like santa and give directions to thier big last gift! the cd was way in the back of the tree. They had the biggest shock/smile on thier faces. Was so adorable!

She says to me this morning "mom, I asked Aunt Tami if santa was coming to her house this year" (Aunt Tami-my sister that just had her first baby, he is 15 weeks old)
I then asked kiddo "How would Aunt Tami know if Santa is coming"
Kiddo gives me this sly grin and says "I don't know"

This made me sad, and start to think she doesnt believe Woody says I am crazy and read too much into things...What say you??

My 16 yr old found out when he was like 6 or 7 but last year my daughter acted like she still believed. My mom told us there was no santa when we were very young because she said she had to really pinch and scrap to afford to buy us stuff and she wanted us to apprecited it. Yeah I was probably one of the kids who told everybody else there was no Santa. :lmao:
