My dog has barfed 10 times since around 10:30 last night. Anything I can do for her besides keep the water dish full?

Can she keep water down? Could she have an obstruction? What is she puking...foam or everything?

She's managed to barf up food every time, not sure where she's hiding it because she hasn't eaten since about 6:30 last night. Lots of water. Brown, carpet-staining water.

Get thee to a vet:yay:-she may have gotten hold of something toxic you're not aware of.

I'd be worried she has an intestinal blockage. Does she get in the trash or eat junk in the yard, etc.

I'd stop the water, give her ice to lick..not eat.

You can give her Kaopectate. But I really think puking that much just isn't a good thing.

I called the vet's office, they didn't seem too concerned

If your dog vomits repeatedly drinking does no good; it just comes right out again, along with stomach acids which if you let it continue, will disrupt your dogs acid/base balance, which is as dangerous as dehydration as well as being harder to treat. As the saying goes, the longer you wait the more expensive it is.
This has been going on for 10 hrs.?

Yeah they trotted out that hoary old chestnut 'boiled chicken and rice'.

I might call a different vet.

She shouldn't have a thing for 24 hours. Then start back in with very small amounts of rice...then add a little chicken.

I'd watch her closely, isn't she older? Is she pooping? How is she acting otherwise?

My girls have had viruses/bugs in the past. A few times.

I've been told to withold water and food for up to 8 hours or so (save a lick or two of an ice cube). Every bit in can be an irritant. Then slowly introduce ice cubes, broth, pedialyte (or the popcicles ) and such until she can keep that down and reintroduce food after an additional so many hours. At that point, give her boiled chicked and rice (slowly mixing with food until all food).

If it doesn't seem to clear up with the liquid introduction, get into your vet soon/before they close. Or do so she gets worse - continues to womit :)confused: womit?) and/or her gums have no capillary refill. <-- check that now.

As always, vet's advice is first (but maybe get a second opionion).

Not continuously. The barfing only lasts for like a second.
