this dog better be lucky that he is not mine. i would have killed him before the animal control people would get there.

Was the boy naked? What about a diaper? When the dog first went after the boy, why didn't the mother stop it? I'm sorry, but if that had been my child, I would have done anything I could to stop the dog...even if it's just covering the child and letting the dog bite/attack me. :shrug:

Definitely doesn't make sense...

The dog was a 2-year-old pit bull that had been with the family since it was a puppy. Sunday’s incident was the first time the family had any problems with the dog being aggressive or biting.
Something stinks and it ain't in Denmark!

Lots of people are saying the family is using the dog as a scape goat for something else that happened to the boy. Makes sense to me.

Not trying to be graphic, just trying to figure out...but would a pit bull's penis really do as much damage as the article said? Something about "surgery to repair significant damage." :confused:

It's just too weird.....

Perhaps..who knows what the truth is.

As somebody asked above....was the kid crawling around naked and for an extended period of time..on the floor? Dogs just don't do this...

Sounds like the dog is being blame for what some sicko did...They should be able to tell what really happened after they examined and investigated.
DNA I'm sure will be there.

Serious question here, Cowgirl, have you ever seen a dog's erect penis?
Ask any breeder of stud dogs, once engorged, the dogs penis (depending on the breed) is very large-how else do you think it locks in the female?
This was a 2 yr. old child-it is beyond belief the suffering this poor child must have experienced!

I'll continue to defend pit bulls...

There has to be more to this story than what is going on. "IF" the dog did this for no reason, they'd best be looking at how the "parent's" have used this dog.

Again, if the dog had it's legs wrapped around this child so tight that a man had to beat it to get it off, there are bound to be numerous scratch marks on the child.

I would still bet that another animals is going to die for something man did.
