It's the stupidest thing that the Democrats are losing their sht over getting a handle on waste/fraud/abuse. All these snarky little pundits and politicians whining about Big Ballz...note that they don't want to talk about all the waste and fraud these kids are finding. Not a word. Just, "Waaaaah! I didn't elect Elon Musk!"

Power with Control
And the smart money says the reason leadership didnt want to enforce accountability is that the laxity of the system was a feature, not a bug. It allowed for an easy way to send money places you cant legally send it. Like USAID.

They don’t want them to follow the money trail.

They don’t want them to follow the money trail.

How do they not understand that all these theatrics make them look guilty as hell? Are they just used to their voters never questioning them on anything? Or have they gone so far over the edge they no longer live in reality? Is it because the tards in the failing media still think they have power and can manipulate us?

I have questions, dammit :tantrum The main reason I care about all this is the human behavior of it all. Watching people do the stupid ass things they do. But you can never get a straight answer out of these knuckleheads, which is why therapists make a fortune off them - they just want to piss and whine, they don't want to examine the problem and solve it.

Sen. John Kennedy Highlights DOGE Discoveries for Critics: USAID Spent Taxpayer Dollars on Transgender Clinic in India

“Musk is doing what the American people have wanted for years,” Kennedy said in a Capitol Hill speech, laying out some of the shocking realities. “But in Washington, common sense is illegal.”

“They understand what Musk is doing,” he said of Americans who have suffered under Bidenflation. “They understand spending porn and wasting taxpayer money.” Kennedy said, describing it as “fascinating”:

Now. Mr. Musk started with the USAID that handles a lot of foreign aid for America. American people very generous. And in our country, you know, when you’re homeless, we’ll house you. When you’re when you’re hungry, we’ll feed you. In our country, when you’re too poor to be sick, we’ll pay for your doctor, and we send a lot of money overseas to help our world’s neighbors, and the USAID is in charge in large part of that. But I tell you what Mr. Musk discovered.

MAKING SENSE OF THE WAR OVER DOGE. Twice this week, President Donald Trump has publicly noted that he will impose constraints on Elon Musk, a special government employee and the world’s richest man, as Musk works to cut federal spending. Arriving Sunday evening in Washington, Trump told reporters on the tarmac that, “I think Elon’s doing a good job. He’s a big cost-cutter. Sometimes we won’t agree with it and we’ll not go where he wants to go. But I think he’s doing a great job.”

In the Oval Office Monday, Trump said that Musk has “access only to letting people go that he thinks are no good if we agree with him, and it’s only if we agree with him.” The president added that Musk is “a very talented guy from the standpoint of management and costs. And we put him in charge of seeing what he can do with certain groups and certain numbers … and they’re finding tremendous waste, really, waste more than anything else. … They’re finding tremendous amounts of really bad things, bad spending.”
But “Elon can’t do and won’t do anything without our approval,” Trump stressed, “and we’ll give him the approval where appropriate. Where not appropriate, we won’t. … He’s running, obviously, a big company … if there’s a conflict, then we won’t let him get near it. But he does have a good natural instinct. He’s got a team of very talented people. … Where we think there’s a conflict or there’s a problem, we won’t let him go near it. But he has some very good ideas.”

DOGE must keep moving fast — despite Democrats’ sound, fury and lawsuits

Friday saw lefty “consumer advocacy” group Public Citizen team up with the University of California student government to sue to stop DOGE from getting Education Department data, citing supposed privacy concerns even though it’s working lawfully through the renamed US Digital Service.

And another lawsuit led by big-gorilla unions — including perennial progressive villain SEIU — has so far stymied DOGE access to Labor Department data.

Members of the same crew, which also includes labor giants the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees and the American Federation of Government Employees, are suing DOGE over its right to access payment and other information via the US Treasury.

Federal Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly has temporarily and seriously restricted that access, too, but she’s a committed ideologue, most notorious for snickering that a sick and elderly woman she sentenced to years in prison for an abortion-clinic protest might die while locked up (ha, ha?).

In Boston, another federal judge paused until at least Monday the DOGE-led buyout deadline for federal employees in response to another lawsuit with plaintiffs including AFGE, AFSCME and the National Association of Government Employees.

Then again, about 60,000 of those unions’ members have reportedly already agreed to the buyout: Derailing it puts the unions at odds with those workers’ interests.

One of the things I am worried about DOGE is with the rapidity (is that a word?) of things is accessing the personal information of every American and not taking proper precautions to safeguard my info, my social security number, my Personally Identifiable Information etc.

I don't know if all of these are college aged kids but I've heard a great number of the team is, do you think they understand the gravity of protecting this personal information or will some dumb kid accidently leave it on their MacBook and sell it in a pawn shop in a couple years?

I always question doctor offices when they want it, defense contractors when they say they need it etc.

Because you think the adults that have been charge are safeguarding your personal information? Even though there have been massive breaches under their watch?

My understanding is that they're not looking at individuals specifically. They're looking at the finances of various programs, and they're running algorithms looking for anomalies (like 150 year old people who are collecting SS).

The Musk-eteers Reveal You’ve Been Living in a Simulated Reality

By Clarice Feldman

Over the past two weeks Elon Musk and his cadre of young computer geniuses have cracked the code. Like Toto pulling the curtain on the Wizard of Oz, they’ve pulled back the cover on government secrecy. They've shown how oceans of tax revenue have flowed through Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), charitable-sounding foundations, the UN, and others to fund terrorists, disrupters like BLM, and reporters to promote Democrats and censor the opposition, most often to enrich Democrat politicians and their friends, families, and allies. The news you thought was news wasn’t independently and honestly generated. The charities you thought were genuine, weren’t. It’s one big gaslighting grift and you paid for it.

The mountain of discoveries is more than I can keep up with. Our own Andrea Widburg listed some of what was found in the first tranche of USAID records. This included (just to start) funding anti-Trumper Bill Kristol, along with “religious charities” run by highly remunerated people who can be counted on to advocate strongly for increased immigration and protection of illegal immigrants they brought here. And placed on the welfare rolls for you to support.

Townhall has more. Here’s a brief sample -- there’s much much more:

$1 million went toward supporting French-speaking LGBTQ+ groups in West and Central Africa, $3.3 million was blown on normalizing "being LGBTQ in the Caribbean," and $425,600 helped Indonesian coffee companies become "more climate and gender friendly."
Mast said $1.5 million had gone toward promoting job opportunities for LGBTQ-identifying individuals in Serbia, $16,500 for fostering a "united and equal queer-feminist discourse in Albanian society," $47,000-plus on a "transgender opera" in Colombia, $32,000 for an LGBTQ-centered comic book in Peru, $70,880 on a musical promoting DEI in Ireland, $20,600 for a drag show in Ecuador, over $7,000 for a BIPOC speaker series in Canada, more than $39,650 to host seminars at the Edinburgh International Book Festival on "gender identity and racial equality," $80,000 on an LGBTQ community center in Slovakia, $10,000 on pressuring Lithuanian corporations to push DEI messaging, and $8,000 to promote DEI among LGBTQ+ groups in Cyprus.

USAID's Office of Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility notified Congress just before Christmas that they've earmarked money (about $1 million) for several programs that will support "marginalized" groups in Indonesia, Guatemala, and Kenya. The funding notice said USAID would "engage with Indigenous-led institutions to implement an Indigenous language technology program" in Guatemala.
In March 2023, USAID set aside up to $1 million to help disabled people in Tajikistan become "climate leaders." The grant notice solicited proposals for a "Disability-Inclusive Climate Action" project in the Central Asian country that would ensure that disabled Tajikistanis are included "in the development of climate change response and mitigation policies."

In May 2023, USAID unveiled a $1.5 million effort aimed at "empowering women to adapt to climate change in northern Kenya." Women in the area, USAID wrote, live in "traditionally patriarchal communities" and need training to join Kenya's fight against climate change. The program would "improve their participation in decision making" and "enhance adaptive capabilities to climate change."

You're right to be concerned, but in today's digital environment, doesn't matter if it's a careless teen, a middle aged manager who is looking for a quick buck, or a short timer on his way out the door and doesn't give a damn. It's up to the company that holds their clearance to make sure the hardware they use is monitored and scrubbed.
