Donating Household Furniture

I have some furniture I would like to donate to a charitable institution. Can anyone give me a recommendation for a worthy organization?

Three Oaks accepts furniture. They work with families to help them find housing. Many of these families don't have the basics like beds and couches when they first find a home. Three Oaks gives them donated furniture to help them get on their feet.

I have donated furniture to Vintage Value. They will only take furniture that is in usable/good condition (some people try to use donating ctrs. as waste removal). They even will pick it up from you. Hope this helps.

Catholic Charities in Prince Frederick also takes furniture. They will "look it over" to make sure it is in saleable condition also.

catholic charities is a mess i would never donate there i was looking in there one time they were trying to sell a bedroom set for like 500 bucks that was really old when they are suppose to be giving things like that to families who need it. but they don't they pocket the moolah...
