Don't like---the Car of the Tommorrow

The whole concept is phony to the name of NASCAR.

We all know there is nothing to the term "Stock Car" any more as it is usd by NASCAR, but this is real Horse crap. Pretty soon like Formula racing they will all have the same power plant and be cookie cutter editions of each other.

Hell stop fooling around and lets take the manufacturers names off the things , Chevy and Ford dont do anything now but supply the bow tie or the blue oval. Calling these things stock cars is a joke, pure and simple.

I agree. I'd love to see them go back to racing actual stock cars that are being manufactured and only modifying them for rollcages and things like that. Roots Racin'. I don't like the multi-million dollar multi car teams too much, either.

exactly :yay:
if ford was RACING a production taurus, they'd be producing a V-8, rear wheel drive, well handling car. instead of a piece of crap.

Back in the production racing days, mfrs were required to produce a minimum of 500 units of any car they wanted to race. Remember Dodge Daytona's? Designed and built to win races but sold to the public.

"We have the tools to slow them down. NASCAR did a good job with that," driver Ryan Newman said.

This is racing?

I would suppose that right now the only "stock" car under current production fit to be on a race track is the Hemi-Powered Dodge Charger or the Hemi Powered Magnum.

The reason they have to slow them down at tracks like Talladega is because teams were bringing F-16s to the race track that were getting mangled up and flipping ass-over-nose 15 times through the dirt and into other cars, and causing a lot of injuries and monetary loss in total-loss cars. I'm all for all-out racing, but I want to see all the drivers walk away at the end of the night vs. being helicopertered out to the nearest trauma facility more.

The Car of Tomorrow does suck. Hate seeing the pole sitter lead 85% of the laps and win the race unchallenged all race long. It's been nearly impossible to pass anywhere now.

Loudon was the most boring race since Dover in 2002.

Not for Clint Bowyer. He said he felt like he was going to throw up as the race winded down.

And now, for the first time ever, all 3 Richard Childress Racing cars have won races in the same season. :yahoo:

Once again, Harvick has a car capable of winning the race and ends up with a blown tire.

Between Harvick's tire woes and Junyer's motors blowing up every time he has a chance at winning, I'm really losing enthusiasm about the 2007 Chase.

Personally I think the "Chase sucks" ,I liked it the old way.
Why? One guy gets a healthy points lead and it's all over. Read, B O R I N G......

I like having 12 guys go head to head down to the last race. :yay:

:yeahthat: I thought the Chase was a dumb idea too, but racing the past few seasons has been better than ever.
