This is not about control I just think Larry looks so handsome when his hair and beard are groomed that I'd like to see him like that again.

All men go through the Grizzly Adams stage. Then one day out of nowhere they shave off the beard and get a crew cut.
Bottom line, if he wants to do it and does, then all is well. If he does change it but didn't really want to, or feels he had to, someone somewhere somehow will pay for it. Human nature.

But I can still make him put on proper clothing when we go to a restaurant, right? As in, no gym shorts with hiking boots and a utility vest in the middle of winter? He should have to put on a pair of jeans?
