Does it really matter?
I have done that. But instead of finding neutral in that situation, I just hold in the clutch and start it.

Can you start your bike in gear while holding holding in the clutch? Or is there a safety \switch that prevents you from doing that?

That was my first instinct, pull the clutch in and hit the starter. Nada. I didn't think there was a neutral safety interlock, I still don't... so when I'm not quite so ticked I'll try that again.

I've gotten caught a few times with the interlock on the kickstand. Looking all impressive.... vroom vroom, shift into gear and......
As it stalls you remember the kickstand was down. dumbazz.....

No, Bob, I think its under the reverse button. Or maybe the "Deploy Satellite" button, I always get those two mixed up.

I stopped my suzuki 750 in the driveway next to my boat in texas.... Got off the bike between them... turned to walk away and was hit right in the small of the back by a huge weight pinning me to the side of the boat... mmm... kickstand... important detail I forgot... Of course my first instinct was to look around the court and make sure no one actually SAW me do it...

The LTs come with a reverse switch too..

THink that would make for a great competition during a bike rally.. do the cones backwards..

That will be tough..... mine you have to continually press the starter switch. When you swing the handlebars over the right, you break your wrist trying to maintain the starter button...

Interesting thought tho... HHmmmmmm....
