Keep Calm and Don't Care!
Think we should start giving points to anyone who can stay awake during the entirety of these NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. I fell asleep during part of the Coca-Cola 600 and spent an hour on the phone with one of my best friends for another hour during the race and missed literally nothing.

The Coca-Cola 600 scored its lowest rating ever on broadcast primetime (race used to be on TBS) and lost out big in ratings to the Indianapolis 500 which was a thrilling race from start to finish -- the exact opposite of NASCAR. NASCAR better wake up. Points resets, eliminations, knockout qualifying, double file restarts, green-white-checkered finishes... all these gimmicks have done nothing. And that's all NASCAR has, gimmicks. Because the racing is just not very good.

Glad I made the call to change my winner.

I did too, after reading the morning paper. Im not into Nascar as much as others on here, that know Dover is Johnson's track. Since I retired 4 years ago and not on the computer like I was when I was working and had time to look up how everyone did at different tracks and who had won where recently, I just go with my gut feeling most of the time. When I changed my pick yesterday you had someone else winning, think it was Harvick and once I heard Johnson had won, I was thinking I just got 5 points on you.

Yeah, I had Harvick. Then I too saw Jimmy's historical domination of Dover and made the switch.
