I gues you found the beltway blocked, got off on Pa. Ave. and then found the shortcut--Dowerhouse Rd. -- closed off. You are having a hell of a trip home.

crap, this is my way home... I was just trying to grin and bear it with the overflow traffic. Anyone know if this road is still closed?

At Woodyard Rd. Ped was hit by a car.

Hi Huntr, I didn't hear anything on WTOP although sacrificing my laugh fest of Bad Boy Baisden on the way home I still heard no traffic report for Dowerhouse.

I ended up taking Dowerhouse and it was good  ... back up was just on Suitland trying to get to Route 4 for about 20 min worth of sitting and inching. Not too bad at all. Dowerhouse was like a ghosttown though

I swung in the Woodyard Market at the intersection of Woodyard and Dowerhouse and spoke with the owner. Him and I know each other, I stop in there every morning getting my scrapple, jelly and cheese sandwhich and chat with the folks there while waiting on my breakfast  He said traffic was really backed up but the ambulance was only there about 15 minutes. A guy was crossing the street to go to the garage next to the Market store and got hit. Another guy in there got into the conversation and said it happened right in front of his house but he thinks the guys is okay, just minor injuries. Another guy jumped into the conversation talking about an accident near 202.

Heard it on the radio, 100.3, just as I was aobut to sign out for the day.

Got off the beltway at 214 (beginning of bad stop and go from rubberneckers) and headed for Ritchie Marlboro. Took that to 4 to Old Marlboro Pike to Croom to 231.

Normal trip is 1.5 hours. Made it in 1.25.
