Sorry that your friend had a hard time. Dr Pomilla hooked me up with IV antibiotics and a visiting nurse right off of the bat.[/QUOT
I am glad for you and I hope you are doing well now. He usually will not prescribe i.v. antibiotics for more than a month or so. People with lyme that were not diagnosed right away sometimes require many months of i.v. antibiotics. In general, Calvert Internal doctors do not even acknowledge chronic lyme exists. (It's actually an active infection) How long did he keep you on them??????????
IDSA, NIH, CDC, etc side with big pharm to nay say lyme treatment.
I need a real doc right now who knows how to treat lyme. I am treating myself until I can find one. Calvert and St. Mary's Counties are full of coward doctors.
So many people in our neighborhood are sick with lyme. One girl was on i.v for months and she did get better. She lives in the woods, and I think her kids were sick too. Can't catch up with her to see who her doctor was or is.
Good luck!!! Hope you get well..
