A few months ago, it was: 22333 Greenview Parkway Great Mills, MD 20634

I switched doctors because I couldn't get through to make an appt and nobody was returning calls.

Dr Pomilla is the doctor that he referred complicated cases to, but he no longer accepts Lyme patients.

Thanks, I heard from one of the neighbors Pomilla is an infectious disease doctor but has no clue how to treat lyme. He only gave him a month on iv antibiotics and he got worse. He finally got 6 months on the iv and is doing really well now. He went to 3 different infectious disease doctors and they all sucked !! Told him he didn't have lyme, and he kept getting sicker. He had to go out of state to get treated. I hope I don't have to go that route. Anyway, I guess that's why Pomilla no longer takes lyme patients. Seems ridiculous since lyme is so widespread here in so md.

Dr Cafferty is our Doctor too. I just called the number, and his answering machine did pick up. After all...it is after Business Hours. So try again in the morning. There is a lot of construction in that area, and the phone must have been messed up a bit when you called it.

Thanks, but i have been calling for about two weeks during office hours. The phone rings busy and today during office hours a recording came on saying the phone was now disconnected.

Yes...that's the number that I called last night, and the Machine picked up too. Thanks for letting us know that you got the Machine too. We really like Dr Cafferty.

Sorry that your friend had a hard time. Dr Pomilla hooked me up with IV antibiotics and a visiting nurse right off of the bat.

I am glad for you and I hope you are doing well now. He usually will not prescribe i.v. antibiotics for more than a month or so. People with lyme that were not diagnosed right away sometimes require many months of i.v. antibiotics. In general, Calvert Internal doctors do not even acknowledge chronic lyme exists. (It's actually an active infection) How long did he keep you on them??????????

IDSA, NIH, CDC, etc side with big pharm to nay say lyme treatment.
I need a real doc right now who knows how to treat lyme. I am treating myself until I can find one. Calvert and St. Mary's Counties are full of coward doctors.

So many people in our neighborhood are sick with lyme. One girl was on i.v for months and she did get better. She lives in the woods, and I think her kids were sick too. Can't catch up with her to see who her doctor was or is.

Good luck!!! Hope you get well..

C-A-P-S CAPS CAPS CAPS!
They've had some issues in the past, but I've noticed a NICE difference there lately.

Yep! They now have two ladies at the receptionist desk again. Apparently, the new girl used to work there before. My husband went to the office a few weeks ago and he asked why they never answer the phone or return phone calls. She (I think her name is Jen?) said that she doesn't know, she just started, but promised it wouldn't be like that anymore. She was right! I have called several times the past 3 weeks, and she picks up on the first or second ring. Thank goodness all is back to normal with his office. I was getting ready to start looking for a new doctor, just based on the fact nobody would answer the phone or return calls.:yahoo:

Anyone know whats up with Dr. Cafferty

I've been scouring the forums to find out if anyone is talking about Dr. Cafferty's office and this thread seems to be the one with the latest posts. We've been going to Dr. Caffery since he was with Dr. Nasir in Lusby and followed him to his office on Chancellors Run road. We love the doc, but the wait times have been terrible. Anyway, my wife had blood drawn @ 3 weeks ago and we have not been able to get in touch with his office since. I've been by at least 5 times and my wife also went by a few times and the doors are locked and no cars in front of his building. There are no signs on the doors and we haven't received any call-backs from repeated messages we've left. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't expect a reply back at all. As unorganized as the office is what is the next likely conclusion...

Where is Dr. Cafferty

I guess my question is "Has anyone actually been to Dr. Cafferty's office in the past two weeks"?

I haven't seen him since early November. I would hope that if he IS closed, that he'd at least send his Patient's a letter. I did call the Office after business hours, and the Machine did pick up. I think he's closed on Tuesday's, because he rounds at the Veteran's Home.

Exactly why I left him... Then I called and called, including leaving messages for a copy of my records and nothing from nobody. Cafferty and his office suck!

Dr. Cafferty....nobody's home

I stopped by his office again tonight @ 3:30 pm and the office was locked (again) no notes or signs on doors. My guess is the office is closed for good, but what I need to know is how to get our records so I can change primary care docs. I hope everything is ok with Dr. Cafferty, but I really wish as the previous poster said that we would get a letter/phone call or at least a note on the door of his office to say what is going on and how we can get our records.
