Driving in the Left Lane, and other annoying habits

Why oh Why do slow people down here drive in the left lane??? Is that not the most aggravating thing? Lawdy it is bad enough ya have to dodge the 5-0 but when will us lead foots be allowed to have the left lane free of obstacles??? Of course, it has to be a time of day when there is no gridlock from our well developed roads and transit system.:moon:

Speed

Now I agree with the speed limit, but 40mph in a 55 zone in the left lane? And yes, I am too friggin lazy to search. Besides, I didn't think the locals were in favor of change, so why not recycle? It's the environmentally friendly thing to do.

Solution: Turn your 'right' blinker on, then slowly proceed to change lanes. The next idiot who feels like you're going too slow can proceed to do the same.

It's so. She's lucky she's my friend or I'd have had some serious road rage to unleash on her. :lmao: I've seen the Amish, in their buggies, flip her off because she was holding them up. :jet:

That would be great if it weren't for all the dipshits in the right lane doing the same damned thing.

The left lane is the universally accepted (ha-ha) fast lane. Why can't we just play along?

Issues

Oh lawdy, I grew up here, and I did move away but I had to come back. I had to come back because it is no fun laughing at where you aren't from as much as where you are. Honestly, you don't know what you really miss until you move away. I swore I would disown St. Mary's, but its our way of life, take it easy, budweiser and softball attitude that I really love. My Dad played, my brother and his wife play, I mean, it is fun to laugh at the things that give us the red a*s now and then. Ya know, I should use my blinkers more often, the New York City wave really doesn't work well down here.

OMG! That is so true!

I recall those instructions by my drivers ed teacher at Great Mills! Of course I need to add the speed limit from the Base to Rt 4 is 65-70. Walmart Parking lot 45mph. Golden Beach Rd: any speed that wont cause you to roll your car over.

Why are people in the left lane? Getting ready to make a left turn. Just entered the roadway via a left turn. Lost (and probably always will be).

That's why they make these roads with two lanes so you can still get around those that you perceive are blocking your way. You would think you were at Budd's Creek and the lane was for you and you alone like at the strip.

Passing is done on the shoulder down here.

I know about a half dozen offenders and their reasons are usually one of these two - and both of them are stupid.

"I'm going to make a left turn" - yeah, *TEN* miles down the road! (not kidding)

"I don't want to slow down (as IF that were possible) when someone pulls into the right lane in front of me".

My philosophy is - if you ain't passing anyone, you don't belong there. And if EVERYONE is passing *you*, on the right, you definitely don't belong there.

You might be paying attention to me, in front of you, with my cruise control newly set at 48.
